"Just a short drive into town, this place is really quiet and pretty. There is a pub on the waterfront within a 20min walk that is open all day. A lovely peaceful location. "
"The motel was in a gorgeous location, with views of the bay out front. The rooms were so comfortable and clean, it felt like home away from home. Our host, Tomoko, was also very kind and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay!"
"The suite was luxurious. The bar and restaurant were wonderful. What a surprise. Picton is a delightful town. The property is convenient when connecting to the InterIsland Ferry and/or the train."

Picton is a gem. You don't have to have a car to get around. The tours in town all start with boats. The queen charlotte track is the most amazing through nature. Eko-tours are highly recommended. Their format is educational and different.

Some lovely views along Queen Charlotte Drive, but note the road is narrow, twisty and care is needed when accessing lookouts.

Well worth spending some town in and around this wonderful little town. Drive along Queen Charlotte's Drive is really picturesque with great views; take care it is hilly and twisty!

It's the jump off point to go to the Queen Charlotte Track or head on to the rest of the South Island after coming in by ferry. A neat and picturesque little town
