Central Mui Ne Beach

Central Mui Ne Beach dazzles visitors with pristine golden sand and colourful fishing boats bobbing in turquoise waters. This coastal paradise offers spectacular views of red and white sand dunes rising dramatically inland. Traditional fishing villages dot the coastline while the ancient Po Shanu Cham Towers overlook the sea. The beachfront promenade makes exploring easy with plenty of seafood restaurants serving fresh catches. Water enthusiasts can enjoy excellent kitesurfing conditions from November to March. Resort gardens provide peaceful retreats from the sun while Fairy Stream offers unique canyon hiking just steps away.

This was our 40 minute trek at FairyStream through this river to a small waterfall at the top of the stream. This area is really close to Mui Ne and there are some nice sand formations. The water looks clean in the picture, but it was polluted throughout our walk upstream. As you arrive at the river there are guys trying to charge you a fee to leave your shoes/sandals. You don't have to pay and you can take them with you. We used our Keen Sandals which were helpful as further upstream there are more rocks in the water. This was part of an afternoon trip with Muine Backpackers travel and tour agent. We all went in a Russian Jeep to the Fairy Stream, views overlooking some fishing boats (unfortunately a very polluted beach), then onto the white sand dunes and a sunset at the red sand dunes. All of this for $7 per person. We wanted to rent a scooter but after seeing the roads on the way to the white sand dunes we were happy we didn't. Terrain for a jeep or off-road bike. The only downfall was they overbooked the tour and it was a tight squeeze in the back of the Jeep. Overall it was a good #roadtrip which combined everything you need to see in Mui Ne or surrounding area.
