"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s a gorgeous property, the grounds are immaculate and so peaceful. The completely fenced in yard is so fun for the dogs. The house is well stocked and well maintained. We had a few hiccups during our stay though. There is no AC on the property, while I know this is normal for the area, still something to be aware of. The house would get above 85 degrees in the main living areas during the day, even with meticulous opening and closing of windows during the night/day. We were traveling with young children who napped mid day and it made it very difficult, as the house wouldn’t cool down at night until 10p. The house is also on well water and the irrigation system runs for three hours during the middle of the day. During that time you can’t take a shower, run the dishwasher nor two sinks at the same time. We lost water pressure for 6 hours one day where we couldn’t even flush the toilets. Overall it was a fun stay, but more effort for daily living tasks than we would have expected for a luxury living property."

"The apartment was clean, all the essentials were supplied, and the bed was comfortable. My one issue was the spiral stairs. I must have overlooked the fact that to get to the bedroom, you have to go up a very tight metal spiral stair which felt very unsafe. The bathroom is on the main floor, so to use the bathroom at night, you have to go downstairs. It was kinda scary. Just to mention, we are active healthy "young" seniors so ability was not necessarily an issue. The yard was nice for the dog. The location was excellent. The host was wonderful."

"Our time here was great! Durango had a lot of family friendly places and activities to do. The house was perfect for large parties we arrived on a Sunday and stayed through Friday. Plenty of restrooms and kitchens and lots of seating and gathering places. We were a family of 14 and could have easily added a few more people to our group in this house. We did have a plumbing issues on day one, the host were on it and had plumbers out that night. It took a little time but host communicated with us well and we were back up and running with full usage of all restrooms and kitchens by Tuesday night. Host sent out cleaning crew to sanitize and restock towels, which was wonderful. I would also like to add that this house was so well stocked including crockpot, espresso machine, ninja and more. Also plenty of paper towels, detergent, trash bags and so on. It was so nice to not have to worry about the little things with such a big group. For those who are interested in wildlife the following animals were spotted by various people in our group at the house:-Black bear-Deer and fawn- Prairie dog- lots of birds- Rafter of turkeys- one run in with a beautiful fox literally ran into my dad in the middle of the night on the front porch So many great memories were made!!! "This property was an amazing escape. Great location, close to the town of Durango and conveniently located for trips out of town like Mesa Verde. The property had EVERYTHING a family would need. Fully stocked kitchen, extra linens, pet supplies (bowls, towels, poo bags). Very comfortable for two adults, two kids and a dog. Owner was an amazing communicator. Thorough and friendly."
