"Surprised my husband with a weekend get away with mother-in-law, Daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, and family pet (Otis, Great Dane)…met son, daughter-in-law, grandson in Jim Thorpe for a train ride Saturday. Friday night we ate at Baby Boomers which was 6 minutes away and returned Saturday for breakfast!!! So delicious and all enjoyed the chef’s cooking & large portions. "My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was so secluded but close to town, so very easy to go out for groceries or whatever was needed. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate as it is extremely narrow. The only thing that would’ve made this stay better is if the cabin had a hot tub! ;)"

Originally rented from the previous owners, but new owners Michele and Andy helped with the transition after they took over ownership of the property. "We spent the weekend here for a bachelor weekend. The house was everything we were looking for. The game rooms provided were a major plus for times when we were just spending time at the house. There was always something to keep us occupied. Great outdoor space for campfires. Plenty of places to sleep and enough bathrooms for groups. Responsive host who answered any questions. I loved the decor and the hot tub was great to relax in after a day of hiking at Ricketts Glen. The checkout list was very short and reasonable. "We were a group of 16 with one wheel chair person and people from all around the USA. Matt was great to communicate with. :-). He was responsive and fast. Place was as advertised. It's a great 80's retro place. There is some deferred maintenance but it did not interfere with our stay.
