"Hotel is in amazing Peak District area. Located above the pub but we wasnt bothered about any noice. Room and amenities are a bit dated but its comfy and pleasant. Its great for the location."
"It is not possible to say how wonderful this hidden gem of a location is. Stephen and Kris were wonderful guests. So welcoming and kind. It was our second to last night of our 8 night trip. A different place every night. Hands down, without question, the most exquisite location we stayed at while driving through England.
Their attention to detail, exceptional. Quality of the bedding, towels, bathroom supplies were all the highest quality.
I have stayed in more places than I can count...
"The staff were all lovely and helpful, the room was beautiful, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was first class - we’ll definitely be back if we have another event in Sheffield!"

"Excellent staff and service. The room was clean and the spa was excellent. Service was par excellence across the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was great too but there are other good restaurants in the vicinity. As for parking, the hotel provides a map of areas where you can park for free in the vicinity."
"Great Hotel with easy access and parking at the rear, Simple keycode and Key box access, Noise from road is the only downpoint as you cant have windows open, Otherwise the rooms are great and the bathrooms are clean and good showers, This is a great one night stop. No food available on site but some local restaraunts in walking distance. Bar staff are very friendly and live sport on Numerous Tv's. Will definitely use again,"
"My stay was absolutely amazing, the staff were fantastic, friendly welcoming whilst remaining very polite. The room and facilities were great, really really nice room, very clean and lots of little extras you don't realise you miss normally! The breakfast was delicious and service fantastic. "
"Great hotel and we love the location and convenience of this hotel. The rooms are excellent and well appointed. This is a University hotel used for conferences and academic staff but it does cater to the public really well. Breakfast options are really good but we're beginning to note that the options are reducing in choice. The dining room should be updated and the lighting is very stark. "
"We loved our stay at the George. Jos and Lindsay are lovely and run a very nice business. We had two rooms, wife and I and Daughter and Partner. We arrived soaking wet after a walk on Mam Tor. Checked in, had a laugh with the owners, parking was easy, rooms are excellent and clean, food good, beers good. Being born and raised in Derbyshire and an out doors person who spent years in the peaks before heading to that ‘great land down under’, I had somehow missed Hayfield. Lovely village and we enjoyed a clear day hiking after the rain, onto the moors straight from Hayfield. A great stay at the George was enjoyed and thanks Jos and Lindsay for your guidance on where to go."
