Historic hotel next to outdoor market
Nice old historic hotel with open courtyard. It was chilly in March with no heat, but they did provide additional blankets. Staff was accommodating - let us check in early, ordered cabs, etc. Location is right next to busy outdoor market, but just a short walk to historic square.

On arrival we tried to check in, and the desk clerk said our credit card was blocked! We tried 2 more credit cards, and she said they were blocked. Same with our friends. We called our bank, all were good, they said the problem was at the hotels end. We told the clerk and she replied NO! We paid cash, spent the night in a dirty noisy room and changed hotels in the morning.

average stay, it was very cold with temps in the 50's, no heating in room, requested extra blanket it took about 45 mins to get blanket after a 2nd call. No type of cups or glasses in room, only 1 water bottle, had to ask for 2nd bottle. Room was in a back area with no view at all. only 2 working outlets, bedside lamps had to be plugged in to work, so no outlet available to charge phones. Location was great though.

We had stayed here before and it was great. This time the TV did not work right and we had to have help with it twice. The last night we just went without as it kept saying "no signal". The second day there we had no hot water even though we ran it for about 15 minutes. It is a cold climate and not pleasant trying to take a COLD shower. This was reported but not sure that anything was taken care of in a timely fashion. However, the bed was comfortable but when I asked for one more pillow they told me they had none even though they had lots of empty rooms.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones amplias y limpias, el servicio igual excelente, hacía mucho frío y tuvieron consideraciones enviando cobijas adicionales, además en lo personal y como comentario extra me encantó que ayuden a los perritos callejeros dándoles croquetas y agua, lo aplaudo y ojalá existan más personas así. Definitivamente regresaría.

Courtyard was great but rooms were a bit run down, beds were very hard and there is no a/c or heater and during our stay the nights were quite cold. Location was decent and rooms were affordable.

Dreadful service, very basic facilities, room heated up like a furnace during the day making it impossible to sleep until after midnight, noisy open patio area.

The hotel looked clean however the shower had a bad oddor, the beds are very tough and the staff is not frindly at all with the exception of the bell boys.

It's a family property. Tons of rooms. There was a band playing Mexican classics from the 70s/80s (according to my sister-in-law who grew up in Veracruz). Great value for a 24-hour stay. There was a problem with wifi hence the credit card machine didn't work so we had to pay cash - thankfully we had it. There was a problem with parking but the hotel sorted us out which was greatly appreciated.

When I called to ask if everything was ok with my reservation, they said your reservation is cancelled. When I arrived they had problems finding my reservation. they gave me a room all the way in the back when I paid it 3 months in advance

Perfect Location For A Good Time During DoD
The hotel was very helpful in obtaining a wheelchair for my wife during our stay. The front desk was helpful even though they had a very limited ability to communicate in english (thanks Marianna). There were a lot of celebrations inside the hotel during Dia de los Muertos which sometimes interrupted hotel services which is understandable. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Great hotel, great location
We stayed for 2 nights, ,the town is very beautiful and we loved the location of the hotel and yes the staff very friendly. The stay included breakfast, it was delicious as well. We highly recommend this hotel.

I love that it is right on one of the plazas, very easy waking distance to food. It’s just a little easy to miss since there’s no sign on the street pointing to it and only the painted name in the building.

Charming Hotel right on Plaza Chica, close to everything (if you can get through the traffic). The beds are a bit uncomfortable, pillows are lumpy and the room was cold, not just because it was a colder season, but because the window in the bathroom would not shut tight. Overall, we enjoyed the charm.

Timber frame fantasy
Great spot though not for the snooty. Relaxed and unassuming is more like it. Took care of my laundry, fed me when I chose to stay in and always had plenty of my favorite beer cold and served it in a chilled mug. I will return. PS....let the hot water run in the shower, it'll get there.

Beautiful and convenient
We had a great time. The city is beautiful the people are friendly and the food is delicious and using the American dollar your money goes far. The front desk was friendly but we didn't need their help for much. They called We Needed an Answered Any Questions We Had about the Town. The Restaurant Is Small but tasty and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive I would definitely love to go back.

We travel in Mexico every year and have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff is great, the rooms can be cold but clean and nice, the location is great.

La Parroquia in February
The hotel is very nice, but during February it was cold as there was no heat. There were very thick, very warm extra blankets found in the drawers. We slept warm. The staff doesn't speak english and depending who was on duty how helpful they were with my small amount of spanish. We liked the hotel
