"This place is so nice. It is comfortable and clean. Our evening ended up being rainy. The office has movies you can borrow for a cozy night in. My one wish is that they had more places to hang things. For example; backpacks, jackets, or damp towels. "

"I went to a Humboldt 30 years ago and chose to stay at the Hotel Arcata while on a recent college tour visit with our son. Stay at the Hotel Arcata for the you-can’t- get- more-central location on the Arcata Plaza and the friendly, helpful staff. Yes, the hotel is old and quirky, but it’s clean and the rooms are large. the hallways are full of really great historic photos of the area and the visitors guide to the area that they have created is really quite exceptional. They do offer muffins and yogurts in their breakfast lounge, but we passed those up every morning so that we could go to Los Bagels instead! Definitely bring your ear plugs if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night because the Plaza will be full of students bar-hopping. But Sunday was very quiet. :-) Anyway, thank you for the stay, Hotel Arcata! "

"Wow! I’m so glad we found this spot! Gorgeous historic space right across from the ocean. You can hear the sea lions in the morning! Nice comforts in the room…fridge, microwave, coffee and a lovely little balcony! Staff were superb and so knowledgeable! From hiking recommendations to dining options, they shared it all - which made our trip such a great experience!"

"This place is fabulous. A well built and well appointed cozy cabin, which was perfect for our stay while visiting the California coast and redwoods. The decorations and artwork were charming, the small kitchen functioned very well, and the quiet location was excellent. We also enjoyed the moon viewing in the clearing, as well as the ability to see the sunset from the platform near the road.All told, this is one of the best places we have stayed in a long while, and would gladly do so again."

"Its a nice motel, quiet, clean, pet friendly of course. I used to live over in this area in some apartments behind the small shopping center next to it and I feel its pretty safe. They have cameras installed around the motel though for guests peace of mind. Its got restaurants And Jitter Bean right across the street super convenient.. warm place to stay for a night or 2. Alao the shower handle fell off while turning it one and they were very nice about it and offered a change of room immediately and offered it in the room right next door. Its a welcoming place."
