Kayak across the sheltered waters of this coastal gem where locals gather at the wharf for fishing and swimming. Hike the nearby Whangarei Heads trails for panoramic views of Northland's dramatic coastline and pristine beaches.
Good location, quiet and not too far from waterfront so enjoyed a lovely stroll to the loop and enjoyed delicious eggs benedict at Serenity Café.
BK's was clean, comfortable with great service a superb hot shower in the morning.
I would definitely stay there again.

Booked a one bedroom unit and the rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. I thought it would be noisy as we were close to the main road but the unit was very quiet. Check in was easy and the manager/owner was lovely and very helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Our second time at this lodge. The room, hosts, cleaners, were all, excuse the accent, FENTISTIC! We just loved the heated floor tiles and heated towel rack, comfy bed, gorgeous kitchen, and relaxing double spa bath! Pillows for me were just a little too soft...but definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious holiday experience!!!

I had a one night stay and was impressed by the loveliness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the deliciousness and service of the Wahi staff. I was blessed to have a beautiful, sunny winter weekend and the way the room was set up made the most of the view. Effortless stay. Thank you.

Property is right in middle of city centre and easy walking distance to everyone. Car parking is available but $15 per night, which is a bit over the top.

Well priced and so well presented. I’ve never seen a shower so clean it was like a mirror. The staff were lovely and I liked the way the owner showed us to our room and did a final check to make sure it was perfect! Would highly recommend

Loved the large sized room
Was worried when heard there was a 21st on that night but must have good soundproofing as didn't hear a thing
Only negative it was cold so had to keep wall heater on which was a bit noisy
