The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, but the breakfast is pretty limited, and the hotel sits in the middle of an industrial area—not much around. Not as close to the airport or downtown as you’d expect, so getting around takes time. Also, traffic noise at night can be annoying.
Fine for a quick stopover, but probably not great for a longer stay in Madrid."

"Meliá hotels definitely my favorite. I stayed for fist time at the one in front of the airport of Barajas, Madrid, Meliá Barajas and I just loved it. I’ll come back next time I’m in Madrid. "Great hotel and the shuttle to/from the airport is so nice. You will definitely need to uber to center city madrid, its about a 28 min drive. But for us we didnt mind, we had a 6am departure flight and being close to the airport was our priority"
