"A magical farm you won't want to leave! Plenty of room to roam and sit outside to enjoy nature during the day. At night we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub under the lit pergola. Slept like a baby on a very comfortable bed and loved that we had the option for A/C or a fan and that we could open the "garage" door on the unit for fresh air if we wanted. And finally, the best part of Alpine South, the family who runs it. They make you feel like you're staying with old friends from the moment you get there and will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need and that you are well taken care of. We highly recommend Alpine South to anyone visiting the area! "

"The cottage was perfect for our needs. We were attending an event at the Tryon Equestrian Center on Saturday morning and it was a quick 12-14 minute drive. Then we spent the rest of the weekend exploring Lake Lure, hiking in Chimney Rock State Park, and the village of Chimney Rock (easy 30 minute drive). The house was clean, very peaceful and quiet. It was very nice to have tea, coffee, and some water bottles provided. I would definitely recommend Granny Ruby’s cottage to anyone staying in the area. "
