The best area to stay in Pamukkale is the village of Pamukkale itself, located directly at the base of the travertine terraces.
This village is incredibly convenient, with most hotels, guesthouses, and restaurants situated along or just off Pamukkale Caddesi, the main road leading up to the travertine entrance. It's a small, walkable area, making it easy to reach the main natural attractions on foot. Many accommodations offer views of the white terraces, and you'll find plenty of local eateries serving traditional Turkish dishes.
Couples looking for a relaxing and easily accessible base will find the village an excellent fit. You're just a short stroll from the main entrance to the travertines and the Hierapolis archaeological site, allowing you to visit at your leisure and even catch the beautiful sunset over the white cascades.
For those prioritising a quieter stay with more space, the nearby village of Karahayit, about 5 kilometres north, is another option. Karahayit is known for its red thermal waters, which are distinct from Pamukkale's white ones.
