"The room was clean, we were upgraded to a superior room, as we were staying 5 nights and they are the rooms that have a microwave. There was no tea towel, no forks, no washing up detergent or anything like that, very basic. The pool wasn't in operation, it was empty, for all the tine we were there, no mention of that when we checked it. It's just a basic motel, not a resort. Plus the large rubbish skip bin is in the driveway on the way to the units, it smelt putrid as you walked passed...

What a surprise. These awesome apartments are situated in the caravan, mobile home park in Paihia. There are only 5 apartments, 4 of which have elevated views. They are very spacious and have everything that you need; kitchenette, separate bath and shower, bbq, TV, sound dock etc etc. There is also laundry facilities near the main office. The staff were very obliging, moving us to a groundfloor room when they realised I had a dodgy knee.
