Touch of Green is located in the relaxing suburb of Hatcher Lake and is minutes away from San Juan National Forest Access, Hatcher Lake, and so much more!
Sunlight streams across the open floor plan kitchen, dining room, and living room from large windows that offer a view of the pines in the backyard. The kitchen is directly to your left upon entry and features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island perfect for chatting while cooking. The main area is characterized by an elegant spiral staircase. Directly ahead is the living room with ample seating, a smart TV, and a full sofa sleeper. To the right is the dining room with a wood-burning stove for convenience and ambiance.
The back patio is a slice of heaven with a bubbling hot tub, charcoal Weber grill, outdoor seating, and swaying pine trees.
To the left of the living room is the master bathroom suite boasting a king bed, smart TV, and stunning walk-in shower. To the right of the dining room is the first bedroom offering a queen bed, smart TV, and ample storage. Further down the hall is another full bathroom for convenience. Further along is the laundry room with a washer and dryer and access to the garage.
Up the spiral staircase leads to the loft with a queen bed and work space- perfect for remote work and day lounging!

Great small house
House was just about perfect. Loved the hot tub and backing up to forest. Primary bedroom and bath are spacious. Dining area was a bit small and could use a leaf in the table to be able seat 4 adults comfortably. Kitchen and bath cabinets need drawer pulls, very difficult to open especially with arthritis in my hands. Otherwise, kitchen was great. Property manager was very helpful.

Perfect pet friendly getaway!
The house was super clean, and matched the photos perfectly. We wanted to introduce our pup to the mountains, and she loved it! The home is out in a quiet spacious neighborhood near great hiking. It was also close enough to get to downtown Pagosa in 15 minutes. If we know people traveling to this area, we would 100% recommend it!

We were very impressed with the look and feel of this home, it felt very welcoming and cozy! Although in a residential neighborhood we felt the privacy was great and it was so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Awesome time
The house is exactly like it is advertised. The entire home is clean and located on a quiet, private, dirt road. Not far from Pagosa Springs but far enough to not feel like a tourist. The backyard backs up to San Juan National Forest. So many trails nearby! We love being able to do our laundry and cook meals during our trips and this home was perfect for that. We highly recommend staying here. Be sure to not take more than 6 people…we had five and everyone had their own space (mom and dad got the king). If our other daughter would have come with us, the two girls would have had to share a bed…just want everyone aware…6 is the max:)

A walk in the woods
We were just blown away by the access to the trails right outside the back door. We hiked everyday with our dog and it was more than we expected. The home itself had everything we needed and the hot tub was a plus after the long days. The location was perfect for our stay. We’ve stayed in Pagosa a few times but closer to town and we always wanted to be closer to the trails and we finally found the perfect place. This place has more to offer than just the pictures.

Excellent!!
We are picky on where we stay and I can say we absolutely loved this place! Just far enough outside of town but still close. Love how it has the national forest behind the house and could sit outside without anyone behind us. Hot tub was wonderful and great how close it was to the door helped with the kiddos to get them back inside. Also if you didn’t know less than 2 miles or so there is a hill that had snow on it during our visit and could go sledding! Big plus for me is it had a garage we could actually use! 10/10 for us will definitely stay here again!! Thank you!!

Wonderful stay!
We had an amazing stay! Would definitely recommend this property to others. The location was peaceful and there is access to national forest right out your back door. We have young kids and they had a blast. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and the bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The only feedback we have is we wish the kitchen table was larger (we are a family of 5 and it seats 4) and that there was more seating in the living room. Otherwise this was a perfect stay!

Great place, but needs some maintenance.
We really liked the place, and would have given it a 5 star rating, but there were numerous issues. Nothing earth shattering, but annoying: Only one bath mat (for 2 bathrooms) Ice and water dispenser on refrigerator totally broken. No display, no water, no ice being made. One light out in the main room (which is very noticeable as there not a lot of lights Instruction on the wood fireplace are incorrect, and when we called about that, they just sent us what we had, we gave up talking to them. (the instructions are poor, like boiler plate instructions and do not match the actual unit - very annoying) There was no kindling or paper to use to start a fire. (i foraged in the backyard for small wood and we picked up a yellow pages book in town for paper to burn) The circuit breaker for the main bath was tripped (so I reset it) the floors are VERY SQUEAKY, this was really bad, and was most of the floor. Backlight on the thermostat is out, so very hard to read Body soap in the master bath was empty (fortunately there was just enough in the other bathroom to last our stay. No tissues for nose (kleenex) There was no guest book to write in We had to move many items in the garage in order to part our car inside Back on the instruction - at the beginning in CAPITAL letters it states NO PETs, at the end it says this is PET friendly! and says there is a gas fireplace (there is not), says it has baseboard heat, it has forced air Well, I'm out of characters, got most of the stuff in here.

Lovely stay at “Touch of Green”
We enjoyed our stay at Touch of Green property in Pagosa Springs! The house was exactly as listed, was well cleaned and maintained. We had no issues during our stay. Check-in and check-out procedures were seamless. We enjoyed walking through the surrounding neighborhoods. Great walking trails, beautiful scenery and lots of deer! We also hiked during our stay, rented a side-by-side and explored the National Forest. Saw a musical at Pagosa Performing Arts Center and enjoyed a dip in the Hot Springs. We loved the area and plan on returning in the future!

Beautiful Home
The home was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay! However, there was construction on the main road to the home with an additional 15 min ride after an already long 14 hour drive for us. The property manager seemed to not know about this as their directions didn’t mention a detour and sent us the original way even though we could have gone a different way to avoid this (Google didn’t know either so beware). We found an alternate route for the duration of our stay. Also, in years of staying in VRBO’s we were surprised that this home lacked some of the basic cooking essentials like salt & pepper or other basic spices. We ended up buying salt/pepper, olive oil and some laundry detergent for the next guests who stay. We were also notified after arriving via text message that any trash we left in the home outside of the garbage container would incur an additional $35 cleaning fee - I feel like that should have been in the contract vs being notified after arriving. It didn’t apply to us as we cleaned up but just odd. The beds are very comfortable and we loved the hot tub, charcoal grill and outside seating. The stars are amazing out there at night!! There was some aggravation with some doors that need to be fixed - the master bath pocket door either has to stay open or shut all the way and once shut it’s stuck and you have to push up aggressively and then push open. The back door sticks really bad also when opening

Great Spring Break Vacation
We had a great time during our family spring break with our two teenagers. House was exactly as advertised! It was clean and comfortable and just the right distance to everything we wanted to do. There is a trailhead less than a 4 minute drive away for snowshoeing and sledding. Approximately 15 minute drive to the town of Pagosa Springs to enjoy the hot springs, shop or eat and about a 40 minute drive to Wolf Creek Ski Resort for skiing and snowmobile. The neighborhood was quiet and lots of snow. Enjoyed the hot tub and wood burning stove just about every night. Be sure to bring you own firewood or ask ahead of time if there is some there for use. Definitely recommend to others.
