"The front desk clerk at reception really set the (bad) tone for the stay. All the details below, but we felt pretty insulted by staff to the point that we would not recommend this hotel. Rooms are dated but clean. It has a pool facing the water and it is perfectly nice and very, very cold; hot tub is nice too (but it doesn't have jets, fyi). They have happy hour most, if not all, days of the week. Hot breakfast was simple yet filling; breakfast staff were nice and efficient. Short walk by the water to German restaurant Brotzeit Lokal, Zocalo Cafe, and Lumpia Company. Our experience with front desk clerk at Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove: First he tried to upsell us on a waterfront room, even going as far as saying we could "pay for it" with our deposit. Like, sir, what? I have been offered upgrades before, but this was degrading. Yuck. Then when we got to the room, we noticed our bed was not a king. We have a king at home so we know what size they are supposed to be. We measured it and it was 65 inches wide. A king should be 80 inches wide. So we went down to request the king we paid for, and that same clerk told us that "he didn't know the difference" but that that was a king-sized bed. Bed size is not an opinion; it is standard. So if Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove charges for a king-sized bed, it should be 80 inches. And if it is not, as it wasn't, then they are cheating their customers."

"This is a great alternative to the much-more-expensive hotels in the area. Don't set the high expectations and you will be happy. The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great because it has the waffle machine. The only difference are the few "scuffs and marks" on doors and windows, but no compromise in safety and quality! I will return! The only problem was the noise from the other rooms, it felt like people were talking all night."

"You have to fight off a few roaches but after that you'll be ok. Also a dolly parten movie in a making the best little H*o house and Texas you'll be able to see in person the working girls. If that's your thing choose this hotel "

"i had a “safe” place to sleep that’s all that truly mattered. surrounding neighborhood is pretty sketchy but that’s oakland for you. pretty big drug bust outside my room on my first day which was pretty shocking, but if you need a place to sleep this is the place to be, just lock up your car."

"I enjoyed a very serene stay on this yacht and wished I didn't have to check out so early. Communication was easy, and the location was ideal for me because I was working an event the next day in Oakland. I'll definitely be back any time I need to be in the area."
