"Room is huge by Japan standard, a great resort feel. Did not used the Pool. The staffs were really helpful and quite observant! Foods in the buffer and Italian restaurant were great, of course good stuffs don't come cheap. The location is good, as it was intended for outdoor activities. "Outstanding stay at Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan! The property was larger and more updated than I was expecting- including a choice of 6 different onsen baths to use (2 private and the other 4 alternating between men/women depending on the time of day). The staff were all without fault and absolutely lovely and despite my limited Japanese there we no issues communicating. Complimentary shuttle pick-up at Minobu Station for the 1hr drive to the property. High quality dinner and large Japanese breakfast provided in a private dining room. Overall, an exceptional stay and I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to stay at this 1300+ year old property. "
