"I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. I only ate at the hotel one evening but the salmon fillet was delightful. All of the staff were polite and friendly whilst remaining very professional. Nevan, in particular, was remarkably calm, professional and attentive in the face of multiple large coach-parties in addition to private guests, making him a true asset to the establishment. "Host was excellent with communication. We had an issue with one of the pull out single beds which was resolved quickly by the host. Would definitely recommend and the access to the North Lakes Spa was a highlight for our trip!"

"This stay should have been great. The house itself is huge, each of the rooms are unique and there are gorgeous views. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the hot tub being dirty and the maintenance company and host were very apologetic, but nothing was actually done about it and I have had to complain directly to VRBO. The overall cleanliness of the property wasn’t great but we could have overlooked that as it’s quite a large property so I understand how areas may have been missed. Shame as the property has great potential, just let down by the overall maintenance and lack of quick resolution. "

"The photos do not do this space justice - it is perfect for hosting large groups / families and being able to unwind in a relaxing environment.The hot tub was great, and the log burner was also a brilliant touch.We did notice some pet hair (not ours) which allergy sufferers had issue with, however we were able to clean with the tools provided.Great access to local walks."

"Lovely little cottage sat overlooking the river Lune. Very clean inside, nice seating area outside. Nice touch providing food to feed the sheep and goats. Scenery was amazing. We could see and hear the M6 and the trains, but it was background noise, not intrusive. We would stay here again."

"The apartment itself was immaculately clean, well-furnished and spacious. The kitchen is much better equipped than most rentals, with many appliances, kitchenware, staples and even knives that are actually sharp!Location-wise, it’s very convenient—just off the M6, but in a small village and under 40 minutes from the main Lake District towns.The host was proactive and responsive in communications.Because it is a historic building, the central heating is a bit limited. We visited in early April with temperatures in the low single figures and found we had to use the provided supplementary heaters. It can be a bit chilly initially, particularly if you're returning/arriving late, so it just requires a little extra management.Overall: A lovely, well-equipped base for a large family. We would definitely stay again!"
