"The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, amazing location, wonderful views and the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. However, it’s just a little odd. After our first meal in the hotel, we were simply looking for a bar to sit and have a drink after a day of travelling and there’s nothing after a certain, relatively early, time. There are vending machines I suppose! Also everything I super expensive!! Our first night we booked into the Kobe teppanyaki restaurant which was wonderful and the chef was an absolute artist but it was soooo expensive! We only went for breakfast twice, once (on the morning we were leaving) we ended up walking away because we were given a half hour time to come back, in a buffet!? and the other the food had clearly been there for a very long time, cold and essentially a little stale and it’s £25 per head! The same was to be said for the buffet in the evening as well. Don’t get me wrong the food was nice and beautifully prepared by the chefs but I think the hotel’s policies on the preparation and the retention of the food needs reviewing. Oh and if you’re going, every single meal in every single restaurant has to have a reservation, you cannot simply turn up. That is even the case if you go to an off site restaurant in the town. Please understand, the hotel is quite fabulous, we had a room that has a bath with a view & were on the top floor and everything about the room was perfect but just arrive with certain expectations."

"The pool and basically whole property is absolutely stunning. The hotel itself is straight up a hill. We took the bus and then walked to the hotel. Huge mistake. Take a taxi. The hotel is also in a tourist trap area. Food around the hotel is way more expensive than food just 15 minutes down the road. Not near anything for tourists. And the bus is always late. So not great if you arent renting a car and want to get around the island. "
