"Staff were very warm and welcoming - InterCons greatest asset!. Pool is awesome. Ink 360 sky bar was incredible for sunset cocktails. Overall, a very relaxing few days to break up a long haul flight. We'll be back!!"

"Had an amazing stay at Ancarine Resort. The view and sound of the sea was my favourite part. This being low season means less crowd too. Hardly anyone on beach. Big pool and lots of loungers. The rooms and chalets are surrounded by trees. Only sounds are of nature and waves. Perfect for relaxation.The minus is you get geckos and insects in the room and balcony. Breakfast and coffee was good and the restaurant is just next to beach and sea. Great for happy hour cocktails and sunset. Wonderful staff doing their best to care for the guests. Keep it up cos' I will be back."

"Nice resort, but quite pricey for what it offers. Very nice rooms and big. Food is just ok. Good choices at breakfast buffet, but all is just ok in taste. And for a French owned resort, the coffee is quite miserable compare to what we experienced elsewhere in Vietnam."

"Rooms are old and dirty, and clearly weren’t cleaned before arrival. We found dirt under the furniture and even someone’s old underwear under a cabinet at check-in. The toilets stank. Housekeeping didn’t vacuum either — chip crumbs from day one were still there on our last day. I tipped generously every day hoping for better, but nothing changed. Service is terrible. Ordering room service, we got condescending questions like “Who will pay? How will you pay?” At the pool, staff told us our rented float couldn’t be refunded before I’d said a word — I was simply going to rent another. They seemed to assume we couldn’t afford their services. For a family of five, we got just two towels. After repeated requests, they said it’d take 30 minutes; when we explained we’d been asking since morning, staff challenged us and said they’d “check with housekeeping” to verify. We never once received five towels — some days two, three or four. I could go on: locked out when the buggy driver never returned our room key, missing our airport shuttle; the wrong breakfast order three times; never being told about the vegetarian menu until our last day despite asking on day one. The area is a ghost town too — daily essentials are hard to find. Stay somewhere more central in Phu Quoc. We’ll never return. We weren’t treated well, and at times it felt like we were treated differently because of who we are. This is a 3-star at best. Book an international 5-star chain instead."
