"The area was amazing with a beautiful view. The hotel needs alot of updates. It advertised 2 restaurants, but only had one which was all buffet. We paid for a mini bar in our room. We only had it filled when we arrived and never again after that. We were told that it gets filled every other day, however that never happened. The drinks we did get we had to go ask for on our second day there. The staff was nice and the view was great. The hotel needs to add some restaurants. "

"Very nice small hotel, nice pool, helpful friendly staff, excellent live music at dinnertime, beach was a very short walk away but the very shallow beach was not particularly inviting so we swam in the pool which was fine. Food was very good. Bed was quite comfortable. I would go again."

"This hotel was very unique and we are so glad that we opted for the oceanfront room. It was quiet (aside from the kids at the pool) and we saw monkeys, birds and iguanas right on the property. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We had the absolute best time here! We had a party of nine: 4 adults and 5 kids 13 and younger. There was plenty of space for our two families, but we did not use the gym suite as we preferred to all stay in the main house.Francisco was our concierge and took great care of us. We had amazing breakfasts prepared for us daily and came home each evening to a pristine home. The views from the house are stunning- even more beautiful than the pictures. The closest beach is an easy drive- it is also walking distance but due to how steep the driveway is, we did not walk. The area has several great restaurants (Agua and Ginger were highlights), the beach club at El Mangroove was perfect for water sports and we felt completely safe exploring the area w our kids. The highlight for sure though was returning to this stunning property each evening, sitting out back by the pool and watching the sunset. We cannot wait to return. "

"Beautiful landscaped grounds, made if feel like you were in a jungle resort. All kinds of creatures with howler monkeys in trees just off out balcony the highlight. Great breakfast and the staff were amazing. Great pool as well. 1 block from the beautiful beach with great walking along the ocean to Playa del Coco."

"From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property was stunning, spotless, and beautifully maintained- the online pictures don’t do it justice! The back patio and pool have incredible ocean views. Kevin was an amazing host - he greeted us, gave us a great orientation, and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. Marie, our housekeeper was wonderful, making us breakfast every morning and keeping the house clean and tidy. I’d definitely recommend for large families or groups traveling to the island! We would absolutely come back. We give our Costa Rican vacation a 10."
