"Place was decent for the price. Only problem we had was one of the balcony doors was poorly installed and the top of the door didn’t reach the frame and kept trying to fall. We were told no one was available to fix it and when asked for some partial refund as the hotel did not have any other rooms to move to, we were told if anything we’d be charged extra for damaging hotel property. We have videos showing no damage was done and that the door was just installed poorly. Ask for a room change...

"We stayed in a beach front room. Excellent views. Room was comfortable. A/C was only a fan one night but was fixed in the morning. Fortunately, it wasn't hot outside. When we arrived, there was a used towel on the back of the bathroom door. You can tell housekeeping cut corners and wasn't thorough and we never got wash clothes unless we went to the front desk and asked. Weird. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we're comfortable. Parking is tight and they have an overflow lot a block away. Convenient to eateries, bars, and shopping. Tiny indoor pool (we didn't use). Less than 10 miles to Assateague Island. You can go up the coast and see Fenwick Island, Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach easily. Awesome sunrises!!"

"Had an excellent stay at the Hyatt in Ocean City. The location honestly could not be better, just steps away from the boardwalk and beach which made everything extremely convenient for our family. The entire staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly from check in to check out. You can tell they take pride in the property because the rooms and common areas were spotless and very well maintained throughout our stay. One thing that really stood out was the breakfast. For a hotel breakfast, it completely exceeded expectations with a great variety of fresh options and quality food each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading out to the beach and boardwalk. Overall, this was one of the better hotel experiences we’ve had in Ocean City. Great atmosphere, excellent service, clean rooms, and an unbeatable location. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting OCMD."

"We have stayed here many, many times. I will not be returning. They seem to be trying to “upgrade” the place. New paint (over old damage) new furniture in the rooms (I have been in my back brace since we got home a week ago, from the “new beds” that are hard as rocks and already lumpy, they claim to be “pet friendly” but now charge $20 PER PET PER NIGHT! They do NOT offer a pet relief area or poop bags, so I’m not sure what the outrageous fee is for! They also now charge $15 per night parking. I’m assuming because they added some rocks and a few new plants??? We left a day early because we spent 3 nights in pain and not being able to sleep. Also, there is no longer a refund if you check out early, NO MATTER HOW MUCH NOTICE YOU GIVE THEM. I’m not sure if this is new management or ownership but it’s really a bummer that we basically lost our favorite spot. The pain I am suffering is pretty bad but aside from that I will take my extra $55 per night and find a better hotel. Thanks for the memories and for ruining my birthday this year."

"The hotel smell funky, and it’s not clean. One of the bed pillows were dirty. The hotel has potential but it definitely needs a lot of work. The outdoor pool was closed and the indoor pool was dirty. The main floor smells like old grease. The balcony need more privacy because you can see the next door room neighbor."

"My home away from home Mikey and Ford at the front desk are 2 of my favorite people in OC a visit to Tidelands isn’t the same for us if they aren’t there! Our room was great our stay was great! Katie, your staff is amazing! See you in July with my sister!"
