Absolutely an amazing stay! The staff are wonderful, helpful and happy to make recommendations or book a taxi for you! Breakfast was delish with great options. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. The bnb is very convenient and in a very quiet cobble stone street. Highly recommend as we felt we were VIPs.

Small hotel (5 rooms) with spacious rooms, full, fresh breakfast with a beautiful 360 view terrace. The place is located on a quiet street, ten-minute walk to Santo Domingo. The staff are helpful, friendly and supportive.

Un lugar muy especial
El hotel es pequeño lo cual hace a uno sentirse en casa. Las habitaciones son amplias y la terraza cuenta con una viste de 360 grados. El desayuno es fresco y variado,pero definitivamente lo más especial es el equipo. Son muy amables y nos apoyaron con todo lo que necesitamos. Definitivamente volveremos a Casa Carlota la próxima vez que regresemos.

Best B&B
We arrived at the cozy beautiful B&B La casa Carlota and was welcomed by Eder. Our stay was fabulous there ; food, staff, cleanness, organized everybody so polite and helpful. I will go there again, they gave us such a beautiful time in their B&B.

Beautiful room in well located Oaxacan house!
La Casa Carlota was a lovely little place with about 5 rooms located just north of the busy centre of Oaxaca City. The location was great because it was on a quiet street that restricted car traffic, but was close enough to the centre that everything you'd want was nearby. Also felt safe because it was still a central area. The room was amazing, a huge king bed and large shower, with drinking water provided too. We stayed in 'La Carlotita' room which had AC which was essential for the heat in Oaxaca! The room was very clean, including the toilet and shower. Every morning we had a great breakfast with hot and cold items, which was a nice way to start the day. All the staff were really kind and helpful, giving us advice on how to use the 'collectivo' public transport to get to various places near to Oaxaca city including Tule, Tlacolula and Mitla. Of the 3 places we stayed in Mexico, La Casa Carlota was our favourite because it was so comfortable and friendly and well located!

Everything was great. Only downside is that the bedroom and bathroom windows open on the central patio which a passageway. So we lacked privacy and it get a bit noisy.

Liked: Location, design, calm, and very kind and profesional service from Sergio and Dulce. One morning there was not hot water for showering. Did not report it to staff as it was not a big deal. Overall perfect and would like to come back soon.

Excellent Staff and Location
The service here was impeccable. The moment you walked in you felt welcomed by the staff who would help with anything. I loved the location and the neighborhood. The rooms were cozy and had the best showers and hot water in all of Mexico. The breakfast was always tasty, but the jewel of the place was the kindness of the staff. Don’t hesitate to book.

Wonderful!
Casa Carlota was wonderful! From the beginning of our stay, the staff was extremely accommodating. I had a work situation come up, and they were completely attentive and helped the situation run smoothly. Eder and the rest of the staff (I should have written down all of their names) were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The rooms are clean and the location is great. We will definitely be back! Thank you Casa Carlota! 😊

Great place in great location. Super to discover Oaxaca! Spacious rooms and all super clean. The Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. they went out of.their way to help us with tours and taxis and everything else we needed. If there is any room for improvement - the room downstairs where we stayed was a bit noisy. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs in the morning. The breakfast is served with plastic foil covers. They want to keep it fresh, but I think theyd surely find a more sustainable solution. Overall great stay though! We enjoyed it

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Casa Carlota! It truly felt like visiting family. The hotel is a nice 10 minute walk from the Templo de Santo Domingo. All the hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. They helped us coordinate our (well-recommended) tours during our stay as well as our taxi to the airport with such ease. We stayed in the downstairs room and found the beds to be comfortable. Breakfast was plenty and very delicious. I highly recommend staying there!

Casa Carlota is a great space! We were so happy we chose this place. It is about 10 min walk from the Zocalo, but that is great because it is quiet away from the crazy party when you are ready to sleep. The breakfast was outstanding, yummy. Service was excellent Manuel was always there to help and ask if we needed anything felt so welcome. The room es clean and beautiful I loved the decor We are definably coming back with more friends to Casa Carlota we loved it!

This is a lovely property that is well run. The service couldn't be better! The terrace rivals many rooftop restaurants in the area, and the breakfast is delicious!

I can’t say enough about this place. It’s a simple concept with great service! We met some great friends because of the communal table. Everything is at your disposal by just asking. Casa Carlota is in a beautiful historical alley.

A lovely small hotel in a great location.
La Casa Carlota is a little gem of a hotel in a quiet location on a beautiful street. It is only a short walk to shops and restaurants. There are only 5 rooms- two downstairs and three upstairs- and they are well-appointed with comfortable beds and en suite, modern bathrooms. The staff is friendly, helpful and some speak English. They offer a very nice breakfast each morning withe fruit, toast, cereal and a cooked dish that changes each day. I would recommend this hotel for couples or singles looking for a quiet, tasteful home base while exploring Oaxaca.

La Casa Carlota is just about as perfect as you can get if you enjoy staying a few blocks from the action. This friendly B&B catered to our every need and was a quiet retreat at the end of a long day of hitting the markets, museums and mezcal. Each morning the staff served a lovely breakfast at the gorgeous communal table. It was a truly relaxed atmosphere and gave us the opportunity to chat with other guests and trade travel tips. Btw, I am not one for morning chithcat - but La Casa Carlota's overall vibe actually made this a really nice way to start the day. The photos with this listing are super-accurate! In the evenings, the entry and stairway are lit with soft lights and candles - a welcoming and chill touch. Additionally, all staff - and especially Manuel and Eder - go out of their way to way to make your visit memorable. Nice touches like chocolates and mezcal are left for you in your room when you least expect it. We spent 10 days here -- and could have spent 10 more!

La ubicacion es buena y el hotel esta muy bonito. Lo unico que no nos gusto es que las habitaciones no tienen cortinas blackout y el agua caliente tarda mucho en salir por lo que se desperdicia muchisima agua esperando a que salga caliente.

Que te hacen sentir en casa. Son pocas personas pero están siempre al pendiente de uno, si bien es pequeño y. O tiene amenidades como otros hoteles pues es un buen lugar de descanso. Por otro lado, su ubicación para estar cerca del centro y del cerro es muy buena.
