"Breakfast was excellent, omelet was very fresh."

"The hallways and rooms were dirty. Broken, uneven tiles in halls and fake eyelashes stuck to the floor. The first room we were put in had plants growing out of the walls. Second room we had bug carcuses splattered on the walls and not cleaned, mold in the shower, and the floors looked unswept. There were no fridges or phones in either rooms which was uncomfortable as we were unable to call and alert the front desk when there was a commotion in the room next door that sounded like a physical altercation. The staff member at the front desk was very kind and understanding and helped us into another room when the first one had foliage coming out of the wall. Do not recommend if traveling with children as there were clear signs of prostitution on the premises. First night we stayed there was an unruly gues who broke out a window in another hotel room. "

"This home is very much a sanctuary, as the listing states. And it’s charming and warm and inviting. Very comfortable bed. Deer and wild turkeys and other wildlife in plain view from the picture window. Check-in was very welcoming: an unlocked front door and a handwritten note. This was an idyllic place to spend a few days in and near Detroit. Loved it! I can’t imagine anywhere else I’d rather have stayed."
