"We had a really great time staying here over a long weekend. The weather wasn’t anywhere near as cooperative and courteous as Kate was, but we still spent plenty of time out on the water fishing. The location made it real easy to get the boat into the water (private gated community docks and ramp are within a 2 minute drive further up the road) and we had luck all around the immediate area, and even from the dock at the house. It was a little too cold this weekend to sit outside and eat but we did take advantage of the grill outside one night. We also had a lot of fun shooting some pool and playing some of the games there. The master bedroom is huge, as is the master bathroom. And it’s also nice that there was more than one room with a king bed, which made my daughter and son-in-law happy.Overall, we had a really great time and the house was a big part of making that happen. Kate was really communicative and helpful with providing us with information and answering all of our questions, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again if we take another near-home vacation."

"Our Mother, Daughter weekend was very relaxing. We had the best weather, giving us the chance to sit out by the lake and enjoy the tranquility of the property. The home is very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked with spices, plastic bags, aluminum foil and other basic items you do not always think to bring along. Everyone having their own room with a bath attached was wonderful. Very nice property."

"Wow this house is such a treasure! It has so much artistry and character in its quirky collections and cultural artifacts, it’s like a house-museum. There’s so much to discover. Highly recommend the scavenger hunt! The house is also super comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully located on the lake. We loved our visit in the winter (with a day trip to Monticello and a campfire in the snow). I’m sure in the summer it’s incredible.The setup is perfect for multiple family groups (our group had two families with 4 adults and 6 kids age 9-15). The loft is huge and a perfect place to hang out and play games. Kaleigh the host is very friendly and responsive. I hope we will be back!"

"The cabin was great. Very nicely decorated in the Bear theme and everything was in perfect condition. Good location to the local Marinas, Food Lion and Restaurants. Host was very responsive and even gave early access. Parking was easy, had a Bass Boat and little issues backing it into the driveway. Nice Garage available to park in. Just a great experience."
