Food was mediocre at best, staff was not well organized and as a result everything was exceptionally long. It was impossible to get coffee in the morning. At one of the restaurants we arrived at 8 for dinner, and the food came after 10 - and they were not nearly full, plus drinks had to be flagged down. Very disappointing experience overall.

Good location in the high rise hotel section. Near the end so a bit of a walk to the restaurants. Nice and quiet beach. Rooms a bit outdated and pool was dirty at times. Several tiles surrounding pool were racked and unsightly. Employees were nice and food was good.

Staff was friendly. Grounds were clean. Palapas and pool chairs were routinely reserved by guests before 6am and left unattended for much of the day.

We had a confirmed reservation thru Expedia for 7 nights. when we checked in, no one told us that we would have to move suites on Saturday half way through our stay. We were informed by a piece of paper....not personally. This was the third time we had stayed at this hotel within a year I would have assumed thre would b mor perdsonal sergice as thre ha bern in June. Expedia did give us a creditt for inconvenience but the hotel didn't sem to really care. Thy said it was overbooking......why did Expedia accept the reservation? it was most disruptive.

Not sure we would come back to this property. Per the directions on our Expedia booking we called a week in advance and spoke to the “Reservations Manager”. Our booking confirmation said we were in a Beach Tower and after reading reviews I wanted to know which one as I had read negative reviews about some of the towers. They assured me we were in a tower that had been renovated and we had a nice room. Despite this, we were not in a renovated room and the lady at the front desk was rude and condescending. We stayed in room 764. It was much bigger than we anticipated! However, the smell of mildew/mold was overwhelming. The room was clean but in poor condition. For example, the bathtub was coming apart, there are cracked tiles on the balcony and the mattress springs were broken (I will attach picture if I can!) We did not ask to change rooms as we did not want go through that hassle after a 13 hour day of travel. The beach beautiful and overall the property had good vibes. As other reviews mentioned, you need to get up early 6/6:30 a.m. to get a palapa. Some days we went down closer to 5:30 and many were already “reserved”. It was impossible to get one in the “front row”. We learned that some people come down late at night and put their stuff down. The timeshare owners had deal with the staff member who distributes the chairs and he would reserve them spots. We witnessed this first hand. Our room was very spacious. It had a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, and an amazing view. It was clean when we arrived and they cleaned it everyday during our stay. We were in walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops and the resort had its own beach front access. This was our second stay at the Divi Phoenix and we definitely will be back.

I thought it was a pretty nice property but not on a par with hotels that I had stayed at in Aruba. The breakfast and lunch selections were limited. The restaurant/bar was very noisy. There was no ability to reserve palapas so it was a 4:30AM trip to stake claim to a palapa in anticipation of them taking reservations around 7. I would go to Pure Ocean Restaurant again for dinner. Food and service was great. Quiet guitar duo were great. Nice to eat dinner on the sand and watch the sunset. So....a mixed bag.

Our only complaint is that the bed is rock hard! They need to change the beds to a plush type of bed. We had 3 comforters put underneath our fitted sheet to try and cushion the bed but it was still extremely hard. We didnt sleep at all unfortunately. But other than that we had a great time!

This was our second stay and I can’t say enough good things. We were steps from the beach. The view of the sunset was spectacular.We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. The food was outstanding and staff was friendly and super accommodating.

This was a first time at a a Divi hotel and it was wondering. Check in staff was wonderful.Love the location and woth alot of walkable locations there are many options. Pool and beach was great and this staff was wonderful. Room is spacious and clean. Also about to bbq which is great for a family. We will be back

Mediocre at best
The grounds are decent. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’m not sure what other rooms are like but our room was more dated than I expected and not as clean as I expected either. Definitely not worth the $550 a night it cost to stay there. It’s difficult to get chairs at the beach and pool because all seem to be reserved if you don’t get up super early to claim yours. I would not stay there again unless there was a substantial price decrease.

We celebrated my birthday in Jan 2024 and it was the best birthday ever! High rise gives you beautiful views of the magnificent sunsets and ocean! Located right on beach. Everywhere property was clean & well maintained. We were in a newly renovated building and our was fantastic! Bus stops in front of property making it easy to go downtown and onsite parking too. Great food onsite! Great staff! Staff and concierge attend to your every need. Quiet, calm property. If you want more action, another area is a good walk away for more restaurants and casinos. But we stayed on the property most of our time there. We would definitely stay here again! Can’t wait to get back!

Beautiful beach / small issues overall good visit
The resort and beach was beautiful. The pools were well maintained and the beach felt private. Further from restaurants and shops but worth it since the beach was quieter. Had some issues needing to call the front desk for missing items in the kitchen, coffee pot broke, patio door not sliding. But all were fixed in timely manner. Upon checkout we were billed for local calls that we NEVER made. So I’m unsure if someone was in our room and made calls or if they have an error with whose room made those calls because we sure didn’t. Overall they took that charge off so can’t really complain. They are under construction so if you are sensitive to noises I’d avoid this hotel for the foreseeable future (they are updating the rooms which will be beautiful but there’s lots of noise while relaxing by the pool/ beach) also the pure ocean restaurant was delicious and beautiful. Very accommodating of gluten allergy which we appreciated.

Location to beautiful beach is great. Cabanas great. Room needed updates and beds were uncomfortable. AC worked but was noisy. Room smelled musty and we discovered mold in the closet, but staff came to clean it promptly. Tub cracked and poor condition. Nice kitchen with full-sized fridge and stocked kitchen pots, dishes, etc. Great and helpful staff were very friendly. Food onsite overpriced and poor quality.

The property has the best beach and grounds, and the friendliest staff but many things are dated and broken at the resort. They are renovating but I am sure it will take a long time

The location and beach amenities were amazing. I would highly recommend the property. The only concern was the construction going on with the property and not being notified that there would be construction work during our stay. We were told that we should have received an email notifying us of the construction but we did not receive this email. We talked to other guest and said that they also never were informed of the construction.

The Divi Phoenix was such a great place to stay. It was walking distance from Palm beach restaurants and shops, and a short drive to Eagle Beach. The facility was clean. The rooms were well maintained and large. The food was good and there were a lot of options. Pools were clean, and the beach was beautiful. Loved that the beach was so close. This was our first trip to Aruba, and when we go back, we will definitely look at this facility again for our stay. Only thing missing was a casino, but there were SO many within walking distance that it wasn't a deal breaker.

I was in Aruba, celebrating my birthday. It was my first time in Aruba and i enjoyed myself from beginning to end! Divi Phoenix added to the experience, they were very welcoming and made my stay very enjoyable! The property is absolutely beautiful!

No communication when room was ready & process never given at checkin. No help getting luggage to room. Ceiling fan remote didn’t work along with getting safe working. Never received my free bottle of wine. No one seemed to care when I voiced my issues or compensated me in any way.
