"very nicely designed bungalow hotel along a popular road that is adjacent to Tam Coc river. The good thing is that it is near the popular spot and yet it off the busy part. Quiet place to enjoy the river. Also eco friendly, there is a tree in middle of courtyard and a hole at upper floor was there to accommodate this tree. Staff is super friendly. There is also a new litter of kittens to keep quests happy"

Staff were excellent and even though a bit dated you can tell the place was really well designed with framed views of surroundings. Location also great and only a short bike ride to most things. "Ninh Binh is simply EPIC! We have been several times, and love this neck of the woods. Coming from Hanoi, this gem of a destination is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and listen to nature. And there is no better place to unplug than Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat and Resort. The staff are the most professional, the grounds are well kept, and the scenery is second to none. We enjoyed the spa as the treatments were world class and the therapists were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was surprisingly delicious, as the breakfast buffet was on point, and the dinner was spectacular. We even celebrated a birthday and the staff was particularly attentive to making sure the celebration was so special. We took part in a private tea ceremony, and I think this was one of the highlights of our stay. They offered an E-Bike private tour which we took advantage of, and it was so fun! The benefit of staying at Jiva Hoa, is that it is off the beaten path, and yet, the staff offer a buggie/golf cart shuttle to town any time that it is needed. The resort uses an app which was a cool feature to communicate with the staff for any needs. There are plenty of hotels and homestays within the Ninh Binh area, however, if you are looking for a luxury stay which will blow you away, look no further than Jiva Hoa. It is worth every VND! We will definitely be back."

"Huge and very comfy bed. Good shower and also amenities. Yea and coffee in room and water. WiFi ok, perhaps a little slow but adequate for our needs. Just down the road from Hoa Lu old town (beautiful) and Trang Un river boat rides. A tour they organised took us up the Dragon Mountain. No need to go out for dinner, the food is MUCH better here and HUGE PORTIONS!"
