Quiet, affordable, closer to amenities, good place to stay for single person or couple. Definitely used this place when I comeback to NY, not fancy but budget friendly and clean. Good place to stay for simple person.

The staff was always so willing to help! And every night I slept like a baby with their AC. Would recommend to anyone if they are solo traveling. Might not be spacious enough for more than 2.

Nice choice between a hostel and hotel. Private bedroom but shared bathroom. Comfortable bed, clean linens. Small room, but great place to sleep while visiting New York

The Flat NYC is becoming my go-to place when I visit the city. Rooms and shared bathrooms are always clean. Heating during the colder months, a/c for the summer. Front staff is friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for getting around thr city.

I had a great stay! Great location, great for solo traveller. The only two points are that the aircon unit is super noisy at night, even when it's not on. And I think the room could do with a little chair or more hooks to put away clothes / towels.

Good spot in a good areas to navigate all five boroughs. The hotel itself was better than I was expecting. It was a really chill vibe. Staff weren’t necessarily friendly but all very efficient which I don’t mind. Room was decent and good tv options and size. Overall very good.

Overall, the location, staff, and room were great. Unfortunately, the person below me decided to play loud music at 3 am in the morning, so I was awakened from my sleep and was unable to fall back for a while. I also received towels that had a bit of make up on them, which made me hesitant to use them.

Great location, and clean room. The shared bathrooms seemed to be regularily cleaned and had no issues with access (the rooms have sinks which is extremely helpful). The front desk experience was interesting. While i didnt feel very welcomed (and room wasnt ready for check in until 4:30 pm), I did appreciate that someone was always on site. To sum up, I think The Flat is good value for dollar and would stay there again if travelling solo/wanted a competatively priced option.

Very good value, no thrills but if you are looking for a clean safe place to stay right in the centre of Manhatten then this is a very good option. Shared bathrooms and showers but clean and new and drinks facilities downstairs. 24 he reception staff very pleasant.

I loved this place , so unique , cozy and just literally made me feel secure, they also gave me tea , coffee and water , the blue door is so cute and iconic , the shared bathrooms are really clean

The room was clean, there's a small sink inside and the 2 shared restrooms each floor often get cleaned regularly, thank you for that! The staff was friendly enough. You shouldn't have such high expectations coming here, I think for the price and the convenient location, it's a fair trade, however this is better if you travel alone or if you're younger, athletic because you do have to walk up the stairs every day (no elevator). I came here with my mom and although I have no problem, she did find it a little difficult walking up the older, uneven wood stairs, and she's is still healthy (close to 60yo) There are eataly restaurants/market and the subway station very close by (3 mins walk) so that's a huge plus. I wouldn't mind staying here again if the price is right

Fabulous stay

Fabulous stay…legit NY hotel-stylish, clean, comfortable bed and linens. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Minimalist on amenities but definitely will be back.
