We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a corner room on the 2nd floor, which seemed big for NYC. We haven’t actually stayed in the city before so we don’t have anything to compare it to, but it was much bigger than we expected. They made good use of the space with a full wall shelf for belongings. 2 big windows gave us lots of light. The air in the room stayed on constantly which was nice, as I need white noise to sleep. Unlike many other hotels, it actually did a great job keeping the room at a consistent temperature. Our room was cleaned and towels refreshed daily, which was unexpected - most hotels seem to do that only once every 2-3 days now.
The shower was nice, although the floors were a little funky - stained grout maybe? The elevators could definitely use some signage. There are multiple, and some don’t go to all the floors. Some have “R” next to the floor numbers, which I assume means it goes to the apartments that share the building (I’m assuming R means resident), but we only figured this out through trial and error. We had to ask how to get to the rooftop deck because one elevator takes you to a locked door that you can’t open. It’s not intuitive at all.
The gym was nice. They provide wipes to wipe the equipment down after use and signs remind you to do so, but I never saw anyone else wiping down equipment. Thus, I also wiped the equipment down before I used it. There was a sketchy dirty bathroom attached to the gym - don’t use it.
