Room was shabby. Dead phone, Unreliable TV, Shower faucet loose, Chipped paint in bathroom and poor lighting. Peeling screen-printed headboards. The dead phone was not replaced or repaired over course of entire five day stay. Front desk attitude. Asked a simple question about Grand Central and was treated like I must be kidding to ask such a question. Elevator situation is problematic. At street level you must take elevator up to lobby check in. Always a line, so plan extra time whether you're coming or going.

Pros: - Location was great and easily accessible to the subway, Times Square, 5th Ave shopping, etc - lobby area is very nice. Modern and even had music for those who wanted socialize. Nice view from Terrance. - rooms are very spacious for NYC standards. Comfortable beds and long mirror with good lighting. - we were quickly accommodated when our shower flooded and were given a better room on the27th floor immediately. - daily housekeeping was great - security at the door and safe luggage storage Cons: - our first rooms on the 10th floor with “city view” was a horrible view. Just the tops of dirty short buildings. - our first room flooded the first night. Very annoying. The maintenance guy said they couldn’t fix it until the next morning after 9 because it was loud and guests were sleeping. Like hello well we’re guests too and need to shower after a long day. I asked about getting moved and he said I had to call the front desk. We had reservations at 9am the next day so next day wouldn’t work. Called the front desk and got a moved to a new room. This was obviously a pro/con situation. It sucked having to move at midnight but so thankful that we got moved right away. - upon check in we were never informed of the amenities and daily charge with that. This included a daily pass for citibike, drink, etc. That would of been good to know the day of check in, not check out. What a waste.
