Typical English pub accommodation with all the character you’d expect. Staff were very helpful. A very short walk to the small village of Hayfield with plenty of eating options.

I had an incredible stay at The Blind Bull. It’s one of those rare places that feels truly quiet and serene the moment you arrive. The surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere is calm, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind.
The food was absolutely outstanding — fresh, thoughtful, and genuinely some of the best I’ve had on this trip. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely without ever feeling overbearing.
I left feeling rested and really well looked after. I’d...

We would highly recommend Roland’s as a lovely place to stay. We had a little trouble initially finding it but when we got through to the manager he literally stayed on the phone to navigate us to where we needed to be.
My daughter wasn’t well the day we arrived and the staff were very helpful and courteous, sorted out breakfast for us up in our room, and were just lovely and helpful.

We had a great 3 nights at The Plough Inn. The service from James at the bar and the owners, Bob & Cynthia, and their staff was fantastic. They were very helpful, especially when our luggage hadn't arrived on our flight and we were waiting for it to turn up. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends. Our room, 2, was a little on the small side but it was clean and comfy so it wasn't really an issue. The whole place had a very warm and friendly feel to it,...
