"My son and I stay here for one night every year in the summer holidays with our dog for a little get away. We love it! The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the view is incredible!"

"We enjoyed staying at Wild Boar with its fabulous view over the lake. The accommodation is laid over 3 floors and the lounge on the first floor takes full advantage of the view. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the accommodation was clean. We stayed during one of the many heatwaves this summer and someone had thoughtfully provided fans in each room. The site is lovely and worth exploring, preferably with a doggy. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked to have a good selection of dishes. The only issue was that on arrival the map and instructions to find the house were confusing and the site's signage was poor; it didn't help that there were several supermarket delivery vans obstructing the roads leaving barely enough room to pass. Also the dining table on the ground floor decking was only accessible though one of the bedrooms and not particularly handy for the kitchen on the floor above. . This is a lovely part of the UK, convenient for many attractions and we would stay here again without hesitation."

"Lovely stay had by all at the Goslings, we were a group of teenage kids and adults, The house was well equipped, clean with everything needed for our stay, Lovely large dinning tables indoors and on the terrace. The grounds around Lower Mill Estate were clean and safe for everyone to wonder freely. The staff were pleasant and very accommodating. Plenty of things to do for all. We really liked the fact that it was gated and secure for ourselves and our kids. Would definitely recommend! Thank you"

"This accommodation met all our requirements and more. The view from the garden across the lake was stunning. All the rooms were decorated to a high standard, the lounge area was large enough for us all to relax together and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub and bbq were great to use after a lovely day exploring. There are so many beautiful walks around the vicinity and Burton on the water isn't far. We just wish we could have stayed longer."

"We enjoyed a three generational family holiday at Songthrush with ages ranging from 7 to 80 years old. The property is very spacious with 5 bedrooms and is very well equipped with everything needed for a family self-catering holiday including games for the children. The location within the estate is good being near to the main facilities such as the swimming pools and bar/restaurant yet not too far from the lakes. There is plenty of parking nearby including one dedicated space right in front of the property. All in all an excellent choice for our extended family holiday."

"We had the most amazing week at Pike Cottage, you could not have had better hosts, their swift communication, knowledge and information provided was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the attention to detail there was an array of condiments for us to use, dog bowls, sea salts in the bathroom, games, DVD’s, hot chocolate station, tea, coffee they had everything covered. It was absolutely spotless and the cleanliness was impeccable. We will definitely be back thank you so much "

"The cottage is very pretty. But is a little tired, the bathrooms and kitchen could do with a revamp. The property is a little snug for 6 adults but would be fine for a family with children . The kitchen was quite small but fairly well equipped although there were a few items missing that we could have done with. The rug and sofas need a clean, try as we might we could not get rid of the smell of wet dogs! The ceiling fans in the 2nd bedroom and dining area weren't working which was a shame as it was so hot during our stay. Overall we had a wonderful, very hot holiday. The atmosphere in the site is wonderfully calming and all the other visitors were very friendly as were the staff. Nice restaurant on site,Laine our server was such a lovely young lady. Fabulous warm swimming pool to use, which was heaven! Communication with the owners was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very accommodating and helpful. Sorry to leave some negative feedback."
