"We spent our Christmas days in the thoughtfully styled bach of Martin and Sharon. It was very

as it is just out of town. The little walk in the lush bush on the property made for a nice after-lunch stroll. An evening swim in the heated pool made it feel even more holiday like. We hadn't realised there was not stove, so cooking was the only small challenge. We had a recharging few days in Otaki and would definitely recommend a stay! "

"Met with a lovely friendly welcome and was especially grateful as was for 2 nights over the Xmas period. Spacious room with lovely bathroom. Loved the patio which was frequented by blackbirds and sparrow and we also saw a Pukeko each day."

"Lovely stay, the property owners were friendly and very welcoming. Left me to my privacy which was great. I appreciated the lack of traffic, other people, lack of street lights and the wildlife flying past the window. Very clean little whare and the bed comfy - shower was perfect.Communication by the managers left alot to be desired and if i didnt have a rough idea of where the property was I'd still be looking for it. A contact number or someone who actually cared about providing a service...

"The Totara Lodge was a good choice for our one night stay in Levin. It is in a quiet location just to the west of the main street, and in easy walking distance to dining options and supermarkets. The room had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. Can recommend the local Som Thum Thai on the main street if you’re looking for a quick meal (good food, licensed, good service). "
