"The room was exactly what I needed with privacy, amenities & everything I needed for my stay - Laura & Garcia took care of every need! The bed was a sleep number & the grounds were full of yummy fruit trees - best squeezed OJ ever & added sweetness with the property pup Jake, horse & a cpl of donkeys - can’t forget the gecko - she likes compliments on her beauty! The views of the ocean were gorgeous & close proximity to all the things Hilo! HI was sooo much more than I expected! Mahalo!"

"The house was unique and special - not the kind of generic room or apartment you find on rental sites these days. Its location was close to the volcanoes national park, but also remote and isolated. Joshua and Geneva gave us excellent directions to get there with ease and checked on us to ensure we had all we needed. Our five-year-old was pleased with all of the games, books, and decorations that showed him that kids are welcome at Volcano Home. Beds were comfortable and blankets were plentiful. Details that made it feel like people actually live in the home such as high functioning WiFi and the full set of supplies in the kitchen, would have made it easy to stay a long time - we wish we could have stayed a few more nights. My favorite feature was the outdoor shower, especially on a cold, clear night when I could stargaze!Some things you should know: you probably should have an all wheel drive vehicle to contend with the gravel road that the house is located on. It really does get cold and windy here (and at the national park) at night. "

"Our stay at the Lodge was perfect! From the beautiful room - we stayed in Ohia, to the hot tub, to the delicous food at breakfast and the restaurant. The Lodge was clean, close to the national park and in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend staying here."

"Fully equiped kitchen, clean & good sized. Hamoock on the balcony was great to enjoy the sounds of the frogs & waves crashing in the distance. Great spot for my needs. Easy acess to the National Park without dealing with city traffic."
