Great space for our large family

My 27-member family stayed here and we loved it. The kids especially loved the large outdoor playground and the loft bedroom so that they could all sleep together. The property manager and owner were both very quick to respond to any needs.

23rd year of vacationing together! Spacious cabin, clean, fun play set for the kids. Enjoyed the ponds, caught a few blue gill and bass. Kayaked, jumped off the rope swing, made s’mores around the fire pit. Nice flat lawn to set up yard games we brought with us. Lots of seating on the front porch and back deck. Watched movies and utilized the exercise equipment. Close to Beckley that has grocery shopping. Recommend the Coal mine museum in Beckley and Tamarack art place. Drive up to the New River Gorge and had pepperoni rolls at Swiftwater general store. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay for large family!

20 family members traveled to West Virginia for a celebration of life, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. This cabin was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed- and there were 20 of us! Ample parking, seating, lounge space, and the best backyard views you can imagine.

Rafting Trip

We booked this cabin to accommodate a large rafting trip and it was perfect. We had plenty of space for everyone was a great in between point for ACE and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Awesome Family Weekend

Beautiful retreat in Mt Hope...plenty of activities at he cabin and around. Minutes from the new river gorge and the host were very responsive and great to provide anything we needed. Highly recommend.

Father & Son Rafting Trip

The home was very accommodating for our group of 11 Dads & 11 Sons for a whitewater rafting trip. We were able to spread out, cook great dinners, have fun playing backyard football and swimming in the pond.

Perfect setting

This proved to be a perfect setting for our large church youth group high adventure. With ample sleeping space, campfire for fireside chats, swimming/rope swing into the small lake, fishing and kayaking, this was a hit with the boys.

Classic Country Cabin

Family Christmas/New Years Celebration. This Cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our big family of 18. Beautiful spacious and absolutely gorgeous views. If this place had a hot tub it would be perfect but otherwise it was amazing. Can’t say enough about it and the host. Great cabin!!!

Family Friends-30th Annual camping trip.

Great for large group. Tons of space but challenging to work out the sleeping arrangements. The downstairs bedrooms were not as desirable. But then again, we ARE supposed to be camping! Lol! All in all a wonderful weekend trip with enough room to accommodate our growing families.

My family enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for the 20+ of us. The kids loved the tree swing and the pond. Unfortunately, the first day of our trip the lawn service was mowing so we had to move the toys and our set-up outside several times. Very satisfying!

We had a great time! The kids loved the lake. Extra little amenities were appreciated. We had an amazing caterer (friend of the hosts). Close enough to attractions. I would let people know about the area as you approach the house--we though we were in the wrong place. The property and house (to quote by 7-year old grandson) were very satisfying.

Maple Fork Lodge September 2019

We rented the lodge for a large group, with multiple families. The place is excellent, plenty of room, well stocked with supplies, especially the kitchen. We were able to cook large meals and enjoyed doing it in the well stocked kitchen. The weather was beautiful, we enjoyed time inside, and outside, especially the fire pit. The home is large enough to spread out and do multiple activities and have plenty of room. Of course Marley is a treat! She is a wonderful dog, everyone loved her, especially the kids. We already talked about coming back to Maple Fork Lodge, it was a great time!

A little piece of Heaven

It's taken a couple weeks for me to write this...was having trouble finding the perfect words to describe this perfect place. They delivered everything that was promised...a clean, well-stocked, space for the eleven of us, aged 1-83, to relax. The kids walked in, immediately named the taxidermy, ran outside to pick apples for the goats, and discovered the pond with the rope swing...this was just in the first hour of our week stay. Later, they were doing flips from the rope swing, kayaked, fished, hiked to pick blackberries, and continued to enjoy mama goat and her kids. The location put us within 20-30 minutes from most access points to the New River Gorge National Park. White-water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, and the Bridge Walk were a few must-do activities that we enjoyed. We even enjoy and supported the Tamarack Marketplace for an air-conditioned indoor activity. Richard, the grounds keeper, could not have been more accessible and friendly. He made us feel like we were part of the family. He also had a wealth of information about the area and activities. Thank you for sharing you home with us.

Regional Business Meeting

What a beautiful place on a great piece of property. I hosted 20 adults for a 2 day meeting Plenty of room for all Did meeting outside on day because the weather was so nice! Thank you it was an awesome time!

50th Celebration

We had a wonderful weekend. 28 of us from around the country played in the yard, rocked on the porches, prepared meals, caught up with each other’s lives. Plenty of room for group activities, lots of comfy seating, enough bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The kids enjoyed the loft sleeping, adults the comfy bedrooms. The goats were a bonus. Perfect for our family ages 8 to 71!

Great Thanksgiving/Wedding getaway

Our week at Maple Fork Lodge was amazing. Very relaxing with plenty of room for all the family to stay. We had 27 in total stay the week. The kids loved the yard, goats and games. Chuck and Connie were great in the booking process with answering any questions quickly. Richard the care taker was friendly and very helpful. I think we all fell in love with Marley too. She is such a sweet old dog. We definitely are thinking about coming back.
