Great house with excellent views
We liked it a lot. Very roomy. The outside tub is actually not a hot tub but a cold tub. It was too cold for us in the evening. Unfortunately on our last nigh the air-conditioner in the bedroom failed. I was kind of missing a proper dining table. Instead, a kitchen-island with bar stools is used. Apart from that, a nice house.

Villa Legend is a dream space for those who want to stay on the magical island of Moorea. The villa is a perfect retreat from it all. High above the waters below, the view is most impressive. Our host was wonderful, communicated great and offered to help us setup activities. Can't wait to go back.

A beautiful place!
I have rented other villas at the Legends and this one is by far the cleanest and nicest! The view on both the mountains and water is amazing and you'll have the greatest sunsets. The villa is spacious, very clean and quiet. I will come back for sure :)

Better than an overwater bungalow
This was our first trip to Moorea and this place helped make our stay epic. The picture really don’t do this beautiful Villa justice. First, our communication with Anais was seamless from booking to checking out. She was extremely friendly, accommodating and thorough. Anais helped guide us to our property and then walked us through and made sure we understood everything (washer & dryer are in French for us English speaking visitors). The Villa is breathtaking, quiet, secluded, and yet open, spacious, clean, and relaxing. To be secluded in a tropical jungle mountain and yet have a breathtaking taking view of the Pacific Ocean, incredible. The Villa is open and not completed sealed off where the roof and walls meet and you have the ability to open the sliding doors and windows for a cross breeze. A ceiling fan or at least some oscillating fans in the living area would be a welcome touch. The master suite & bath are incredible and luxurious with room air conditioning. We arrived to find fresh local flowers and greens on our bed, such a lovely touch you would expect in a resort. The kitchen was great for cooking and had everything we needed and the living area was comfortable for relaxing. Our favorite was the wrap around deck, lounge chairs, and plunge pool! We dined outside in the covered dining area and utilized that plunge pool every afternoon. We would highly recommend this stay, especially for romantic couples. Thank you again Anais, so memorable!

Amazing view
We had an amazing stay. The views of the water and mountains were breathtaking. It was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed eating outside and looking out to the mountains. There are many geckos and lizards that like to come visit you while eating and in the kitchen. The deck got a little hot in the morning as the sun comes right in. The house had everything we needed. And you must stop by the bakery at the entrance of the villas, the croissants were amazing!

The location was great and the view as well! Great hosts too. There were a few small things we noticed it needed. There weren't any wash clothes for the bathrooms, and no extra toilet paper. Also, the electric went out several times, but it was easily fixed. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

No one greeted us. No information in the villa on how to run anything. I called the owner he was rude to me.Two days later we called and demanded someone come to review everything. She was a big help. The villa furniture was old and cushions needed to be replaced.

A really brilliant place to stay. Great location in the NW of the island, across the road from a well known place to swim with sharks and stingrays. Great host. The house is up the hill overlooking the lagoon, meaning you get both the views and a breeze. The only downside is the mosquitos - but they are a feature all over the island. The place is very well set out, clean, pretty well stocked with essentials and, for good measure, has a wonderful deck and great jacuzzi. Hard to fault. Word of warning though - don’t try to go hiking up the surrounding hills. They are riddled with a spreading lawyer vine.

We selected this villa for a 6-nt stay away from the big tourist hotels. After navigating the steep winding entry road, the view was amazing. Overall the place was spacious and attractive but more worn than depicted in the photos, which attests to it’s steady use. We found that the villa was appointed with comfy furniture and major appliances but lacked small kitchen conveniences such as a toaster, better cooking utensils, sharp knives, more wine glasses, etc. The decor could use a refresh to replace the mismatched towels, dark brown bedding, temp sofa cover and stacks of +5yr old magazines and travel guides. The host Anais was very friendly and helpful and promptly handled maintenance issues during our stay. The wi-fi was reliably good and is needed to stream alternate programs to the French language tv channels. The a/c was only in the bedrooms due to the open-air roof eaves of the wood ceilings, but worked well for restful sleep. Typical of tropical homes, there will be geckos and insects indoors, a colorful aspect of local living. The villa location is a short distance to some great restaurants (Le Lezard Jaune, Snack Mahana, Coco Beach dock pickup) so you’ll need a car to get around. If you’re a seasoned traveler, this villa is a relaxed self-catering option for stays longer than 3-4 days on Moorea, but it may not meet the expectations of those looking for hotel luxury.

Wonderful Stay
Property is just as pictures portray only better! This is our second stay at The Legends and would not hesitate to go there for a third time and most definitely will! This house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, carefree stay. Kitchen has an abundance of plates, mugs and glasses as well as pans, cooking utensils, even if baking! Bathrooms are fantastic with large showers in each as well as water pressure that is unbelievable. We only used master bedroom and found it to be cozy with a very comfortable bed. Only 2 bedrooms have air conditioning but you would think the entire house had central air when doors are open. Property host Anais was a joy with a wonderful personality, met us and throughly went over property and was readily available for assistance, reservations, suggestions and even printing covid paperwork needed for flights. I would without hesitation recommend this home for a very care and worry free and relaxing vacation. Tip: if going in whale watching season, bring binoculars to see them playing in the sea below.

Beautiful view villa
This villa is located high up the hill and offers gorgeous views of the water and surrounding hillsides. It is spacious and modern, everything works well and it is well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only unfortunately thing is the jacuzzi is not heated, but most days are warm enough on Moorea that that is just fine.

Villa is nice and clean, super view from terrace. Owner was very responsive and person who met in villa very nice and friendly. Villa location in North side of the island is also very good. Just you neec the car, there is quite long and deep way to reach to Villa. We also liked Holly Steak House very much, it was very near, possible to walk.

We stayed in #39 for six nights in December 2018. Inside a beautifully landscaped, very private gated community, the villa is a convenient base for exploring Moorea. The view over the lagoon from the deck is spectacular, and the three bedrooms, living area, and kitchen/dining area were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful, and the washer and dryer were a bonus. Clement made checking in and out very easy. We had a great time, and definitely would book the villa again.

Amazing escape from reality!
We stayed here for four nights and wish it could have been longer! The view is breathtaking and the villa was lovely. We particularly loved having our own private plunge pool on the terrace, which we used often....it is very hot and humid here in January, and having a cool dip was very welcome! Clement and Anäis were lovely hosts and easy to reach if we had any questions. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.... you will love it! Merci beaucoup pour un temps incroyable!!

The perfect place to stay on Moorea
Amazing views and a beautiful home that has everything you will need. Loved walking out on the deck any time of day and looking out on the lagoon. Lots of seating areas for sharing meals and time with family and friends. Great location within walking distance of a small market, local restaurants, and water activities as long as you don't mind climbing up the hill to the house which is at the top of this gated community. Clement was a great host and I would highly recommend staying here.

We found Clement to be very responsive and helpful in planning and completing our vacation. The villa looks at a beautiful lush green valley that runs up to the ocean beach! Perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the quiet of ocean waves in the distance and birds on the hills. The only negative is the fitness center equipment is in need of repair (3 pieces out of order, no water and no towels to clean equipment after completed). We would return to this villa again!! Clement, thank-you!!

Clean, Bright, Stunning View & AC - Doesn't Get Better Than That!
We were searching for the best price for the best lodging and found it at the Legends in this unit. The place is updated and spacious. Three bedrooms. One without AC and two twin beds, the other two have a queen bed and AC in the units. The bathrooms are stunning as well and there are two toilets and two showers. The master has his and her sinks. At night we would plug in a mosquito thing in the outlet (bought it at the local pharmacy for $7) and used the mosquito net. There's no real way to seal off the house since it's open to the outside via some route or another however, we didn't feel it was too much of a problem. I have a one year old baby and the place felt SAFE for her. Other than of course keeping an eye on the baby when they are on the lanai because of the pool (heated by the sun but not a hot tub - not cold either)... and the lanai does get very hot for little feet. But, again not a problem, just an observation. There is a little table outdoors for eating too and two lounge chairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are already planning to return. Clement greeted us at the house - speaks both english and french - and gave us all kinds of recommendations on food, etc... Albert tours right at the bottom of the hill has the best shark/ray boat tour - it was just $60 for 6 hours and lunch was included. Coco d'ile, Les Tipaniers and the food truck (blue) near the little shopping center and right by Natural Mystic (go left when you drive onto the road from the Legends and it will be on your left) were our favorite spots to eat. The food truck had the best salad dressing I've ever had in my life, the prices were affordable and the owner was super nice - jovial, in fact! They also have a daily fresh juice - which was amazing as well. All in all, GREAT. Oh! And you can rent paddle boards, kayak, boats without a permit needed all down at the beach in front of the Tipaniers. They also do a shark / ray dive - we did this one too. There were only 5 of us but there were also only 5 rays and sharks. lol The tour was about $40 and 1.5 hours so it's a great other option if you don't want to spend the day on the water. And it goes right out and right back. Back to the place... AMAZING. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful place with an amazing view. Anais and Clement were very kind and helpful. Some tools missing in the kitchen if you want to cook your own meals: only 2 knives to cook. Beds are very very firm! Location is good: near the 2 most beautiful bays and in front of the Intercontinental where you can go swim with the dolphins! Swimming pool is nice and to go down and back to the villa, you will exercise yourself everyday! No view on the sunset though.

Incredible view!
The house was lovely with gorgeous wooden floors and a fully-equipped kitchen. An amazing breeze comes through the sliding glass doors. Two of the three bedrooms have A/C. The house is very nicely decorated and the view is beyond compare! Just across the street is the Intercontinental Hotel which has a nice beach restaurant/bar, and it is not expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Would highly recommend this property.
