Everything was good except the AC ! They said they had someone look at it 2 weeks ago and nevef came back ! Dont believe that...If you run a small hotel you fix it ! Its not like the rooms are cheap. Save money on something else, not the comfort for the guests wher you get your income from.

Great location and value for money
Staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a central location a few minutes walk from Place de la Comedie which is ideal. Excellent value for money. Would stay here again.

You'll be fine here.
Nice hotel in a great location for exploring Montpellier. Room and bathroom were tiny, but that should be expected. Decent room for the price. No complaints.

Hotel is in an excellent location, few mins walk into the town. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sufficient. The bad bits, it is advertised as onsite parking and we were traveling on motorcycles, however there is no parking onsite. However, there is parking on a multi storey around 400m away. The rooms are extremely dated and worn. With the exception of the disappointment with the parking, the 1 night stay was enjoyable based on the location

The Hotel is the type of hotel we like - not to big - personal attention. Close to the station - so not a long distance walking with the luggage. What we did not like and thought not proper was the billing - whereby you are attracted by a rate of 82 E breakfast included, that eventually the rate varies per day and that the tax was not included, nor the breakfast. However the owner was willing to explained well why it was more - but this should be clearer and avoided.

We arrived too early for check in and were told to come back in an hour (fair enough). When we returned an hour later, we were told our room wasn’t ready and were asked to wait in the lobby. After 30 min we asked how much longer, and were told another hour! No explanation or apology. While we were waiting, another group tried to check in and were told they’d been re-booked to a completely different hotel around a 10 min walk away with no explanation. Once we finally got to the room it was obvious they rushed the cleaning job, and it was heavy with air freshener. The room (no. 16) faced onto the central core of the building, so was dark, had little fresh air, and was much smaller than any of the photos we’d seen. The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in black mould. We were short of options because of the Women’s World Cup, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Montpellier seems like a lovely town, and I’m sure there are better places to stay.

The room was spacious and well located. The view from the window was quite unique and it made the experience more authentic. Beds were very, very comfortable, which is always nice and unexpected. I would definitely recommend it and would go back should we visit Montpellier in the future.

Comfortable and Convenient Location
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mistral. Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and made my stay very comfortable. The room was very clean and it seemed like the bathroom had been redone recently. It's about a 5 minute walk from the train station and to the Place de la Comedie, and it's very easy to walk just about anywhere else you'd want to go in the city center.

Great staff, so helpful and friendly. Sheets and soap were replaced daily, which was unnecessary and wasteful, but we've never experienced that before - waiting until these items were absolutely needed would have been our preference.

Wonderful staff, so friendly. Even said hello on the street to us when we saw them walking. Towels, sheets do not need to be changed daily in most cases, and removal of half empty shampoo and soap is different than our expectations. We would have used it all up and requested more if needed. Perhaps, we are not used to the French way of hotel service, being from North America. Very wonderful place, and will come again if in Montpellier

A+ Service & Location
The 5* staff at Le Mistral made all the difference during my 2nt stay. The red-haired daytime guy was a riot & deserves a big shout-out while Titouan saved me from some snafus during my last night. If French is not your thing, rest assured that both speak English. The cleaning lady was also very sweet & seems to clean all the rooms by herself! Le Mistral's central location means a 5min walk up the street to Pl. de la Comedie. A surprisingly wide range of cuisines/restaurants, bars, boutiques, tourist info centre, sex shops, Monoprix/shopping centre, laundromats, tram, Gare St-Roch, and all the tourist sites are within walking distance. MP is a beautiful city so there is lots to see! I had a comfy double room facing other peoples' windows w/a good-sized shower & weird pillow but I managed to sleep well. The room gets muggy esp after a shower but there is AC. There was also ample surface & storage space and more electrical sockets in all the right places than one could ever dream of (a rarity). I did not have breakfast here but the dining room & facilities were very clean & well-maintained. The elevator is phone-booth tiny so be prepared to hold in your stomach & don't even think about getting in with friends - one suitcase MAX! Their luggage storage room is also secure unlike some hotels where it's one big free-for-all open to the public. MP hotels are not cheap & I was not expecting too much from Le Mistral (no offense!) but they far exceeded my expectations!

Hotel with no parking
No place to park, arrived in the evening and the area didn’t look too attractive to walk with my luggage, after driving around in circles and not finding place, ended finding another hotel, loosing the money that I already paid at the Mistral. Hotel might be good, but if there is not place to park in a busy street, then is not good.

First of all, we are very surprised to learn your mishap through a review left on hotels.com, we have no bill of any no show on the last three weeks so please contact us directly in sooner please. We are sorry that you have not found a place near our establishment; a short stop at the hotel (in front of the hotel there is a place reserved for luggage storage) or a phone call and we find you a solution immediately. Our proximity to the downtown pedestrian area encourages people to try to park at the closest, so to avoid this kind of disarray we always offer a preferential rate in a fully secure underground parking.

Great central location
Central location, easy walk to the train and tram stations and to the Centre Historique where the tourist office is located and plenty of little restaurants in the cool little streets and squares - very French! The hotel itself is comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the bed got a bit uncomfortable after a couple of days and a little fridge in the room would have been helpful. Minor in the bigger scheme of things!

Really good location- convenient for all transport
Room cleaned daily, fresh towels. Extras like hairdryer, kettle are not in room but staff happy to provide. Breakfast basic. Staff friendly, helpful, English speaking. I would stay there again.

Room was a bit shabby but was not expensive so Ok. Breakfast was basic. Free wifi was super slow. Would not normally mind but i spotted the dude a reception playing World of Warcraft on max settings so that changes things. Hotel itself is in a great central location though. Smallest elevator ever!

Good hotel close to La Place de la Comedie
We were greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us info on where to eat. Hotel is within walking distance of most places of interest and the train station.

Great Central Location but a little Noisy!
Unfortunately the hotel was located on a very noisy street, and at weekends cars and motorbikes with their very loud engines and music sped up the street at all hours. The hotel is also close to rail tracks so trains pass by regularly. If you don't mind noise, then this is the only downside to the location as its central location to the heart of the city is superb.

Easy access to hotel from train station. Very friendly and helpful Reception. Quickly became orientated around the City which I found very buzzy with a lot of diversity - something for everyone. Will definitely return.

Decent room, nice bathroom, pleasant enough staff, however, this is situated right next to a fairly noisy street where the kids go to rev their cars late into the night... didn't bother me too badly (stopped around midnight-ish) but could seriously bother some people.

Convenient location
This hotel is close to the train station and the nightlife in Montpellier. Nice room. Clean and a good bed. Clean bathroom and lots of hot water. Wifi in the room was very intermittent. A good standard for a 2 star hotel in Europe. But, because of where it is, it is was noisy in our room on the second floor, facing the street. This is not a complaint - we knew what was likely when we booked. But, the shutters are inside the windows, so not possible to close the shutters and leave the wincows open for some ventilation on a couple of hot July nights. The balcony is shared with other rooms. Poor security. The in-room fan struggled to cool the room and then the management turned the fan off remotely at about 22.30. We have stayed in better 2 star hotels in Europe and paid less. Breakfast is expensive.
