It is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood surrounded by neighbouring houses. Although the chalet has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and fully equipped, with 7 adults the house is a bit tight, but still cosy. "We didn't expect the quality that we received when we booked at the Monte Rosa! We were so pleased- we love to stay in historic places & often they can be less than updated. We had asked for a room with a view of the Matterhorn, not realizing that we booked a suite. And it was worth every penny. Did plenty of hiking all day in the mountains & came back to a very comfortable room with plenty of amenities ( 2 full bathrooms, living area, view of Matterhorn, robes, food & drink treats, and absolutely exceptional staff attention. The restaurant was great, we loved sitting outside. We were there during the heat & kept the windows all open at night to cool things down (no AC in Zermatt). Breakfast was also just spectacular. We'd definitely come again."
