The best area to stay in Moano is around the Piazza della Chiesa, which forms the heart of the village.

This central area is where you'll find the most authentic Moano experience. The Piazza della Chiesa is dominated by the beautiful Parish Church of San Giovanni Battista and is surrounded by a few local shops, a bakery, and a couple of traditional eateries. The narrow, winding streets that branch off from the piazza are characteristic of a historic Ligurian village, offering a peaceful and charming atmosphere for an evening stroll.

Couples looking for a tranquil and authentic Italian village experience will find this area particularly appealing. You can enjoy quiet evenings, savour local cuisine, and appreciate the slower pace of life, all within walking distance of your accommodation. It's superb for those who enjoy exploring on foot and appreciate historic architecture.

For families, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, perhaps on the gentle slopes leading up to Moano, can be a good option. These accommodations often provide more space, privacy, and sometimes even a pool, while still offering easy access to the village via a short drive or a pleasant walk.

The best time to go to Moano is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, and September, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

During May and June, the days are long and sunny, great for exploring the coastal paths and enjoying the beaches without the peak summer rush. The sea is warm enough for swimming, and the towns are bustling but not overwhelmingly so.

September offers similarly lovely weather, with warm sea temperatures extending from the summer. The grape harvest often begins around this time, and the atmosphere remains relaxed as the summer crowds start to thin out. It's an ideal month for those who enjoy a slightly more tranquil experience while still benefiting from the warm Italian climate.

For those who prefer the quietest experience and don't mind cooler temperatures, late April or early October can also be appealing.
