"Love that this ryokan had halal meal options! The entire place is gorgeous with a beautiful view of Lake Biwa. Easy to get to (they have a shuttle bus from the train station). If you have a private onsen, just know that the shower is also outside. No other options, unless you use the public bath."

The location is close to many of the beloved shrines and temples. Lots of transportation options with access to city bus and subway. Lots of walking paths to explore the Higashiyama district.
