A lovely place to stay, very clean, welcoming and homely, loved the organic fresh eggs left. Nice and close to shops but plenty of privacy. Would love to stay again if we're ever back in the area.

What a fabulous place to stay
4 long time mature ladies traveled to Mittagong to celebrate a 60th birthday. This house was way above our expectations- the quality of the home was extreme and felt like a warm cosy home when we arrived to the fire being on - 🙏 The location was surperb as we were able to walk to restaurants pubs and the main town Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we will be back many more times xx If I could give this property a 10+ star rating I would xx

If there was a greater than 5 star rating I would give it. Ponsonby is a beautifully presented old cottage with immaculate and thoughtful touches throughout..The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and even the fridge has basic supplies when you arrive. The back garden is just beautiful, again with little touches. It just warms your heart to stay in such lovely accommodation. It is my second stay in Ponsonby and I loved it even more. Thank you Adam.

Gorgeous comfortable house close to main street
Group of three adult friends staying for a writing weekend. The house is classic weatherboard and looks small from the outside but is roomy and so pleasant. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Well provisioned and lots of luxe details. Full kitchen. Would stay again happily.

Mums 80th Birthday weekend
We had an amazing time, the house was beautiful. It was furnished to the style of the property and every [possible thing that you could want was at your finger tips. From menu's of local restaurant's to sites to see around the southern highlands, even when markets were on. We will be back again.

Relaxing and fantastic location
Ponsonby was a beautifully presented home with fabulously comfortable extra large double beds and soft linens. The bathrooms have everything you need, with the best towels I have ever used. The kitchen is well appointed with cooking utensils to make self cantering easy. The fresh eggs and chilled bottle of wine was a nice extra touch. The garden is a quiet haven on a hot summer evening to enjoy a cool glass of wine or beer. We thoroughly enjoyed the closest to the Main Street, restaurants and shopping centre for our stay. Thanks Adam and Nat.

Relaxing stay in a lovely cottage
Beautifully presented cottage in a great location for exploring Mittagong and the Southern Highlands. The cottage is amazing, extremely well stocked and included a welcome pack of fresh eggs, wine and chocolates. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ponsonby.

Perfect house for a wedding weekend
We had a family wedding in Bowral and stayed at the house for the weekend with 2 families. What a perfect set-up! The house and gardens are very well maintained. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the gorgeous backyard. Only 9 minutes drive from Bowral, worked out perfectly!

Awesome Ponsonby
Gorgeous cottage, perfect, convenient location for Southern Highlands exploring. Cottage is amazing, extremely well stocked with more than the necessities including fresh eggs, bottle of wine and box of chocolates, what a great start to a perfect few days. Definitely on the return visit list!

Magnificent Ponsonby
This house has so much character Superbly decorated inside, charming living areas and bedrooms with modern kitchen and bathrooms. With little touches from the hosts Ponsonby was the perfect place to stay. Perfect location, just a short walk up the street to Mittagong town centre a short walk down the street to Lake Alexandria Honestly we didn’t want to leave the house.

Great home, location and hosts
We needed somewhere for 7 of us ranging from 50 yrs to 2yrs. Perfect little house…..bedroom out the back with ensuite for grandparents, 3 bedrooms and main bathroom for the rest of the family. We made use of the back yard, bbq and awesome dining table in the kitchen. Would recommend to anyone looking to explore the area.

Everything was perfect
We really enjoyed our stay. Adam left couple of presents for us like eggs in the fridge, bottle of wine… The whole house was spotless and he even started the heating . The kitchen was supplied with everything . Location is fantastic. Communication with Adam was really good. We would definitely recommend this place for larger groups. Already considering coming back next year.

Our hosts had thought of details that made for a great stay, like free range eggs, milk and a bottle of white wine in the fridge when we arrived. The gas heater was also on, so the house was warm. Highly recommended.

Cost highland retreat.
A beautifully presented home away from home. Ideally located right in the town centre yet in a quiet neighbourhood. We found ourselves immediately at ease in this comfortable and beautifully appointed home. The gas log fire and heated floors in bathroom and main bedroom were a real treat and set us up for a cosy stay. Could have easily just lounged around the place and not gone out at all.

Super close to the heart of Mittagong, but far enough away from traffic noise we were in walking distance to all Mittagong's highlights. We were in town for a wedding and this house easily accommodated 8 adults in comfort. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable was provided, from high end hand wash and shampoo to electric blankets on all beds. Appreciated the free range eggs and wine left for us too. Loved our stay here, highly recommend.

Awesome place away from home
We love the place being listed as heritage & a century old property but renovated to our standards. They advised us there’s a step down but we forget sometimes that we still get caught so we suggest to place a reminder sticker in the future. One of our friends also tripped over the front because there was a brick sticking out & it was dark when we came home at night. It’s where we parked our car & there’s a cemented path going up the terrace. But she’s fine. We were surprised to find fresh free range eggs in the fridge. There was a bottle of wine & some chocolates. The pantry was complete with what we needed & we’re so happy. It’s a huge house with 4 bedrooms but there’s only 5 of us that the first room on the right wasn’t used. Although it rained the whole time we booked, the sun came up before we checked out & we took lots of photos in the garden. We enjoyed the colourful birds and the landscaping was absolutely breathtaking. We will recommend this place to our friends & we will come back for sure. Thanks for our stay!💕

We just stayed 3 nights at Ponsonby and I highly recommend this lovely cottage to anyone wishing to stay in Mittagong. We are a family of 6 adults and 2 children and we had more than enough room. The amenities were excellent and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with the essentials. The furnishings and beds were super cosy. A high point is the cleanliness of the cottage - it was sparkling clean. The gardens are neat and tidy and the back yard is a great place to sit and soak in the sun. Full credit to Adam and Nat, no one could fault this charming cottage, and thank you for the welcome gifts.

We had an excellent stay at Ponsonby - the house and garden were as charming as the pictures suggested and the kitchen easy to use and well-equipped. We couldn't have had a better place to make our home in Mittagong for the four days we were there. Nat and Adam were perfect hosts - very good at communicating about the house and surrounds and have set up a beautiful and charming place to stay.

Fun mum’s weekend away.
We were 5 mums having a weekend away all so happy with our stay in the house. We thought the photos didn’t do it justice - it was beautiful. There were a few nice treats left in the kitchen to welcome us, the back garden was private and gorgeous. All rooms and bathrooms were clean and it was so comfortable to stay in.
