We stayed in the main unit, a lovely and cozy cabin. The manager left notes about the weather and instructions on using everything in the cabin. The place had everything one could dream of, for a cabin in the woods. It was very comfortable and quiet, and we immensely enjoyed our stay. We originally booked one of the small units. The weather was not good. It was snowing a lot, and the manager was very considerate and changed us to the main unit. We are very grateful for this change.

Small as expected but clean (despite local bug life's attempts to take up residence) and equipped with everything we needed. The electric heater soon fixed things when it was a bit cold. Wifi is transmitted from the cabin by the road and only gave us a useably strong signal intermittently plus, whilst I was expecting to go outside for the toilet, I didn’t realise it was a composting one which was a bit niffy! But overall a good stay.

The property was listed as one bathroom, but it had NO bathroom. The note on the counter said I should use the general store. The only building labeled "general store" was across the street, but evidently I was supposed to use an outhouse across the path. There were no lights inside the outhouse. The cabin itself is cute as a button and showed a lot of love, but paddiing out to the potty in 39° weather in Bear country was not what I signed up for.

Had a great time staying in the cozy cabin. The cabin was perfect for our two night stay. Area was cute. Perfectly located just across from a great restaurant w good food and drinks. Cabin was stocked w basic necessities. Bathroom was separate but clean. Shower was clean. Wi-Fi was not great but will work if your trying to enjoy nature’s beauty. Definitely recommend driving there in the day light. About 15 minutes to entrance of parks. About an hour drive to main points of interest in the sequoias.

Stay Between Yosemite and Sequoias
My partner and I stayed here after leaving yosemite and before heading to the sequoias, and it was wonderful. The home is definitely small but it never felt cramped, only cozy. I was nervous about the separate shower house and bathroom but it was honestly wonderful, it felt like summer camp in the best way. We already spoke about staying here again. While there aren't grocery stores nearby, there is a restaurant across the street, and the hosts have provided a menu in the cabin. Thank you, Melanie!

The Cabin was very nice and cozy. My wife and I had a great time staying there. It is very close to both Sequoia and Kings Canyon national park. The only difficulty we had was finding the right padlock with the keys. Other than that everything was super smooth.

Above and beyond!
My stay was fantastic. The cozy cabin certainly lives up to its name. It was exactly what I was looking for for a weekend hiking at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The hosts truly went above and beyond when I got home and realized I'd left my laptop on the bed. Chuck took time out of his evening to meet up with me, and he was so gracious in doing so. They truly lived to the name host.

Perfect for what we wanted.
The listing is exactly as described. It is a little unconventional for some with the shower and toilet being in a different building, but it is in no way what we imagined. It was awesome. Very very private and secluded and you essentially have an entire back yard of a property. We were there to see seq natl park and weren't there for modern conveniences like cell service and wi fi. That was one of the best parts about it actually, being off the grid for the most part. Very quiet and clean and comfortable for a tiny cabin in the woods at a great price.

Disappointing Accommodation Experience. During my travels across the globe, I've seen a wide variety of establishments, but this particular stay was unfortunately distressing. The main issue was the noticeably inadequate hygiene practices concerning the bedding. The sheets had clearly not been replaced following the previous guest's stay, evidenced by the presence of an unsettling variety of hairs from distinct types and body parts. This, coupled with the unwelcome presence of insects and dirt, made the situation undeniably disconcerting. Regrettably, I was compelled to resort to sleeping on towels for my first night, until I could procure fresh bedding. Adding to the ordeal, I accidentally left my laptop charger behind. Despite my persistent attempts to communicate with the host post-departure, my pleas were met with unresponsiveness. In a field where hospitality and guest satisfaction should be of utmost importance, the service and response I encountered were deeply disappointing.

Could have been better.
We were staying in the area for a wedding and trip to Sequoia National park. The location in that aspect was good but there is nothing really else in the area to do/eat/gas. The closest breakfast place is 30+ minutes and with no stove or anything in the rental it makes it a little inconvenient. When we got there, the shower house was unlocked and there were dirty towels on the ground so we felt like it had never been cleaned from the previous people so we never used it. The trash in the main “cabin” wasn’t taken out either. The bed isn’t very comfy because it’s just a futon, my husband is 6’1” and barely fit. The pillows weren’t comfortable and the only blanket was a thin quilt with no duvet so it was questionable if that was getting washed regularly too. There also isn’t hot running water in the cabin so I was unsure how the dishes are getting properly washed. There’s security cameras in front of the shower house only that weren’t disclosed and there was another car parked in our designated spot so checkin was a little confusing. There is wifi but it was extremely weak and neither my husband or I had any service while here.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. There is restaurant across the street that opens at noon and has a convenient store. On the property description it is indicated the bed is a futon. There is also a photo of the bed on the booking site. No where on the booking site photos or description does it say there is a stove it does say there is a propane grill, micro-wave, coffee maker, toaster and mini fridge. Clean towels are provided at the beginning of each stay and trash is removed at the end of each stay. Thank you for the duvet suggestion . I am going to check that out.

It really is a cozy cabin
Really cute tiny house. I love the interior. Shower is seperate but in a really cute structure of its own. The porta potty is really clean and comfortable. You normally dont put those two words together! The structures are built very well. One down side is, the sink in the cabin is a far reach for those of a smaller stature. Could use more water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, it was a cozy stay and very close to Sequioa national park.

The place was nice, but miss leading about bathroom facilities, mini refrigerator on the floor too low, no storage for anything, no hot water in the main area, very little water pressure in the shower plus the heater/vent didn't work, the bathroom facilities was a johnny on the spot out house the stunk. Very disappointed

My site on VRBO is not misleading it clearly states restroom is a port a potty. Since this unjust review I have added a photo of the port a potty and fridge. Port a potty has a battery powered fan, smell goods sprays and light. The heater in shower house works just fine I had it on low because we had just had hot days then it turned cool again you just have to turn heater up. Also, there is hot and cold water for showers. On my site one can view the inside of cabin and shower house. You can see from my photos this rental is very nice. It is a studio that is why it is priced like it is. A nice place to stay the night after all day in the park. Do not miss out because of this review.

Sequoia/ Kings Canyon at last
After 2 trip cancellations because of fires we finally got Sequoia. The cabin and all the amenities were as advertised. The flattop grill was great, no need for stove. Be prepared for the switchback roads to the cabin and throughout the park. Bring much of your food. Very few places to eat outside the park and food in the park is currently llimited. A worthwhile trip .

Very high value/sqft. It's small and yet feels fully equipped. Be advised that the shower is in a separate (lockable) building a few feet away. Toilet is a portapotty just behind the cabin, but is very clean and well-equipped.

Perfect stay. We saw deer running in the backyard, birds flying, owls hooting at night and a cute cat. it’s a charming tiny place, the bathroom is super clean and so it’s the cabin. Some additional amenities we found helpful was cookware and complementary oatmeal. We brought our own coffee but there’s also some under the cupboard. Location is perfect for day hiking at the national park, the drive to and from the parks is gorgeous. Just FYI pinehurst lodge (restaurant across the street) it’s not great, so cook something up at e cabin, or like us go to Hume Lake after a hike for a quick burger for dinner. Thanks to Meredith for everything, will be coming back for sure.

Everything you need, nothing you don't. Great stay.
Small and minimalist but contains everything you need or could want. There was not a single item I needed that wasnt there. And the furnishings are quality, well thought out, and charming. Great outside deck, great griddle style grill, every utensil needed, great shower and bathroom out-building, super comfy bed. You can tell the owner really cares about this space and your stay here. Note, you are up in the mountains with nearest stores a good 20 miles away. Bring what you need. And being in the woods you may see an ant or two but, you are in the woods in a small cabin. Unavoidable. Entire place made me want to go home and throw away almost everything I own and go minimalist. Will always be on our first option list when we hed back that way.

Melanie is very clear with her check-in instructions and is willing to answer any questions you may have about your stay. The property is clean, and Melanie gives you more than enough supplies just in case you missed something like bug spray, kitchenware, or disinfectant. The cabin in right on the outside of the national park (about a 15-20 min drive to the King's Canyon entrance. Very good spot of you're going to visit the northwestern part of the forest. Make sure you come prepared with your own food because besides the nearby Pinehurst Lodge, there is not another food source for at least 45 mins away. Definitely a memorable getaway from the city. We would definitely rent again!

My husband and I needed a location close to Kings Canyon National Park and everything was booked. We spent one night and really enjoyed how cute and quaint it was. We were on a Harley and enjoyed the roads getting to the house too. It was clean and had everything we needed. We couldn't find the house at first so I would recommend some house numbers out front for guests to find.
