"A lovely cottage with history and character. As mentioned in the listings it would not be suitable for someone very tall or with difficulties. Facilities are excellent everything you need supplied. Parking is free but beware spaces can be all taken - it states 23 hours stay - no return for an hour, so be aware there is a car park attendant around! "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We've stayed here several times now and keep coming back, which says it all really! The house is always spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with stunning views over the lake that we never get tired of. It's in a great location within Lower Mill Estate, making it easy to enjoy everything the estate has to offer. One of the biggest draws for us is the fantastic facilities on the estate – the pools, spa, restaurant and beautiful walks around the lakes all make for a really...

Top Minety Hotel Reviews

Stratton House Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"The property was in an ideal location for the visit we had planned. The hotel is very well maintained and looks beautiful both from the inside and out. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. There were a few slight issues we experienced during our visit, the room became very warm because the radiator had to be on full otherwise it would be very noisy. And even though the room was spacious with extra seating and a full length mirror, there wasn’t anywhere to sit down with a smaller mirror to do hair and make up, however, the room was a good size with good amenities. The en-suite was also nice as it was a good size with a decent shower, but the positioning of the screen wasn’t overly effective as the floor became very wet. We also visited the spa on one of the days, but the jacuzzi was not working on the day of our visit, we were informed about this the day before our visit and we received a gift voucher as compensation. This is just an honest review and they were minor issues and they definitely wouldn’t prevent me from returning to this lovely hotel."

Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon

8/10 Good

"The hotel is clean and convenient location as we were going to Cotswold. Some areas like the bathroom could do with some updating. Plenty of parking space which you can pay for £7.50 at the reception. On the plus side, the leisure facilities—including the pool, sauna, and steam room—were great! Just an advice if you're planning a night swim: the website says the pool is open until 9:00 PM on weekends with last entry at 8:15 PM, but they actually closed early at 8:45 PM so staff could clean it which is not indicated in the website or information that they handout when you check-in. Make sure to give yourself extra time. Also, breakfast took a while to be replenished. They seemed really busy as there were a lot of people likely due to a wedding the night before."
