The front desk was woefully unprepared and negligent as to the basics of checking us in. The room we reserved, they said they didn’t have. Then they tried to up-sell me into a bigger room. After denying their offer, they put me in the original room I requested….which they originally said wasn’t available. The key cards didn’t work as well. They had to walk us to our room and let us in manually. Very disappointing.

I could here the vacuum above us all morning, the cleaning staff in the hallways talking loudly. Not a good place to enjoy a night of sleep.Will never be back.

it is a nice hotel. However it feels like a college Dorm. But the bathroom was large, well light and very clean. Also I was impressed with the breakfast. It was very good.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable, laid out nicely and had accommodations if needed. Parking was pretty easy and they did have a valet service. Overall it was very enjoyable for my stay. First time booking at a Tru and a hotel room in general but I'll definitely be going to Tru if I'm in the area again.

Hello - I was a guest at the Tru Hilton Downtown Milwaukee on 4/13/2024. The listed check-in time is 3:00 and we did not get access to our room until close to 5:00 and only after following up with the desk and literally sitting in front of the staff so they would not forget about us again. We booked a very overpriced room at this hotel so that we could check in between 3:00-3:30 and have time to get ready for a concert we were attending that night. By the time we got access to the room, we had to rush to get ready and were late in arriving to the concert. On Sunday morning I spoke twice to the General Manager, I believe her name was Kelly Murkal. She said she could not directly offer me compensation for the late check in because I had booked the room through Expedia but promised to reach out to Expedia the next day and would email me. It is now Friday and I have heard nothing back from her. Attempts to reach her via phone have not worked. The comment about needing to work with Expedia does not make sense since I was billed directly by the hotel. I understand that due to a concert the previous night, it was difficult to get all the rooms cleaned, however, that is not our fault. As mentioned, I was willing to pay the extremely elevated pricing so we could have time to prepare and get to the concert. I am very disappointed in the late check-in and the now apparent lack of concern of the manager to make this situation right. I would not stay at this location again for

Booked and paid for a 2 bed room online through Expedia. When I got to the hotel I was told there are only 1 bed rooms left and that I’d have to re-book through them because Expedia is a third party. It was also $200 compared to Expedia’s $140. Then I had to go through the hassle of calling Expedia and getting a refund. When we get to the room the heat/AC unit was broken. Bad experience and would not stay here again

We stayed here for an event at the Fiserv Forum. We were happy with the location, we walked to supper and to the venue. We were also happy with the breakfast, lodging and service. Would stay here again, right off freeway and easy to get right back on freeway and head home.

My problem occurred at check in on March1. The room booked was supposed to be a double room with king bed. When I asked about the single room we were assigned, the front desk staff said that there are no "double rooms" at Tru in Milwaukee. I must contact Expedia for the problem. So I am writing this complaint as the room booked was not the double room pictured on the website. I also believe that Tru should have some type of night light in the bathrooms. Their bathrooms are much cooler than the room itself. There is also only 1 chair in the room.

Hidden charges. Empty breakfast display cases. Broken equipment. Tru normally offers water and cookies at check in, but not here.
