"This historic building has been beautifully restored, congratulations! The Old Abbey House is in a perfect location in the centre of Abingdon. Our room was a deluxe king suite (garden view) and was faultless. Thoughtfully designed, spacious with a separate seating and kitchen area making for a very comfortable stay. Check-in was very straightforward."

"Nothing We could not contact the host and had our stay ruined We had to spend nearly £200 on taxis, buses and trains as well as booking alternative (dearer) accommodation in Swindon (a different city) Utterly shocking and absolutely spoiled our trip - had to traipse around Oxford with 2 massive cases all evening before travelling directly over 2 hr to our hotel"

"The hotel is very tired and needs updating, however it was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. The food was excellent even though it was only myself and my wife who ate in the dinning room whilst we were there. The hotel does takeaway food and there was a steady stream of cars coming in to pick up meals which is a testament to the quality. The position of the hotel was great for our needs. It is outside of Oxford but transport links are very good. We are in the process of looking for property in the area and we would have no worries about staying there again whilst we are looking, and will go back there to eat once we have found a place to move to."
