What a lovely place! The owners are lovely and the food was amazing and very well priced, definitely going to be staying again when I’m back in the area
An old-fashioned country pub next to Culham station. Some low level train and road noise but still peaceful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent evening meal, comfortable good nights sleep never even heard the trains! Great English breakfast overall good value

Liked: Staff & service
A fairly standard village pub atmosphere, the staff were pleasant, food and drink were nice, the room was adequate for my overnight stay, as expected being adjacent to a main line, there is occasional noise but nothing too disturbing.
Lovely hotel which is a great base to explore the surrounding area. The owner is lovely and works very hard to make your stay comfortable. Rooms were well equipped. Just be aware trains do go past!

Hidden Gem
Really nice old school pub/Inn right next to the railway station with a long long history, not a poncey gastro pub, a proper old school pub.
Really nice staff and really good prices, food was great, locals that I met were all very nice, room was cracking.
Quite a few trains go past as you would imagine, but I didn’t find them an issue and slept fine with the window open, they get fewer and fewer the later it gets.
I will definitely be booking this one again.
This would suit anyone travelling for work, anyone wanting to discover some UK history, train buffs or spontaneous explorers.
