"Worst hotel I have ever stayed in, check in was a nightmare, going back and forth with front desk, getting my room locked a couple times because my card wouldn’t get through some system failure, yet other guest had no problem, the first room I stayed in was dirty and fill with mosquitos, the shower kept making a loud noise, second room was worst. Breakfast was a nightmare as well, they couldn’t find my reservation I paid for, JB or JP was not welcome towards us, very vocal with everyone eles, I honestly don’t recommend this place."

"A dream vacation and a dream place to stay. This was an amazing find for our family of 6. There was so much room for us all to be together but also have time away to nap or read. The hosts were incredibly communicative and prompt in responding. They worked with our time frames and gave easy to follow instructions for check in and check out. All the furniture was so comfortable, and we played games every night at the kitchen table. The kitchen itself was very well stocked with all dishes, pots and pans, utensils and everything we could need. The air conditioners in each room worked well once get got them figured out. That was more user error. All the beds were comfortable, and we had an array of pillows and blankets. They also provided all our pool towels, which was helpful because those would have been hard to pack. The ocean pool was the highlight of our trip, and we spent many hours soaking up the sun and dipping in the water. There is also a little path to a private beach that had amazing sand. You can't find a better place to stay in Lahaina. We wish we could have stayed longer and will cherish all our memories in Maui."

Direct Beachfront with Spectacular Oceanviews!

"Location was perfect. Host was quick and responsive. Included dedicated parking space is a plus. Apartment is very well stocked with anything you might need for cooking or a day at the beach. And you can see the ocean out the patio doors; the view is spectacular. Just a few minor things to note. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very loud, like a jet engine. The king bed was extremely soft due to a foam topper. We didn't think to remove it until we woke up with kinks in our necks. Lastly, there were a lot of gnats in the living room due to rain/moisture from previous storms. The host offered to provide fly tape as soon as he was notified. All in all a great value and nice place to stay."

OCEANFRONT PUAMANA 136-1 - FUN IN THE SUN!

"Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. If you want to be away from the crowds, this is the place! Puamana is a gem and showcases the beauty of the islands. The home is very clean with a modern kitchen. The family room and master bedroom are a stone's throw from the ocean, with sounds of the surf creating a very relaxing environment. Even with parts of Lahaina still rebuilding, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the best of West Maui is less than 20 minutes away (you have to visit The Gazebo for breakfast or brunch!). The hosts were very kind and quick to respond. We loved our four-night stay and wished we could have stayed longer!"

"The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, all accommodations you need for a great stay. My kids loved the provided toys and books. The property and location on the island is amazing. The 2 pools were great within the puamana complex and the ocean just a short walk for sunrise and sunset or to watch the surfers. The biggest con, and I feel like it’s was understated by previous reviewers, is the constant highway noise. The house is within 50 ft of a major highway, and it sadly just ruined our enjoyment of the lanai and outdoor space. The downstairs bedroom is quiet and insulated but you could hear the traffic noise all night upstairs in the loft. If you’re planning on being out exploring the island all day or use to city noise maybe this is the house for you but it was just so loud and distracting, we had a hard time even maintaining a conversation outdoors. It really put a damper on our whole trip, with little kids we had planned on spending a lot of time enjoying and relaxing in a beautiful place and we just didn’t get to experience that. We’d come back to the Puamana complex in a heartbeat though just much further from the road."

"This condo is really is close to the ocean. Swimming pool just feet from the condo patio surrounded by a lawn with lounge chairs and BBQs for your use, then a sea wall. You can hear the waves breaking, but can't see them unless you stand on the sea wall. There is no sand beach close by, but if you walk to the end of the street, Haycraft park is there with nice sand beaches. If you sit on the patio the air conditioner is all you will hear when it is running. The condo is older and not well maintained. The air conditioner filter needed to be changed, the furniture is old, not very clean, but functional, although the pull out couch gave us some trouble. It was out and made into a bed when we arrived. We didn't need it and it took us a few days to get it to fold back into the couch configuration. The curtains don't cover the big sliding glass door and the pull-down shades don't pull down all the way. We never found a functional remote control for the living room ceiling fan/light so the light and fan were on for the duration of our stay - two weeks. After about five days, I found the remote control for the bedroom ceiling fan under the bed. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work at all, so we left the bathroom door open during showers. The owner was polite, accommodating and gave us the number for their host company. The host/ maintenance co. was responsive, and did send people over, but they didn't fix anything. No ceiling fan remote, no bathroom fan repair."

"Almost everything looks better online than in person. This place was better than the listing! It was clean, modern, SO quiet and peaceful, private, functional, fun, relaxing, and so much more. Location was quiet yet convenient, amenities were plentiful and useful (beach chairs, beach wagon, umbrellas), and we had what was our best family vacation ever. Thank you, Maya, for sharing this beautiful slice of paradise with us!"
