"Unfortunately, the weather was terrible. But Caitlan was extremely helpful. Quickly responded to all inquiries and had helpful suggestions with dealing with the issues that arose, including the road closure to Lahaina. We found the accommodations to be very comfortable. Beautiful view with lots of whale sitings. Everything was easily located within the unit and clear directions for using almost everything. Thankfully we had our daughters and grandson who could figure out, with Caitlan's assistance, the TV and streaming services. We were close to Lahaina and Ka'anapali and only 20 minutes or so from the aquarium and our canceled snorkeling trip. We love this area of Maui and believe this is a great place to stay for a vacation. You just have to hope you don't get a worst in a decade plus rainfall. "

"We had a great stay at Ryan’s place in Maui. The condo was very clean, the loft was awesome, and the pool being right on the beach next to the water was a huge bonus. The sunsets were beautiful every night — at least until the rain during our last couple of days.Ryan was very responsive. I had a question about the WiFi password and he replied quickly (even though I later realized it was already in a previous message). The location was perfect for what we wanted. You can hear some highway traffic, but it really wasn’t that bad and didn’t bother us much.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back."

"The location is great! Beautiful sunsets every night. But within 2 hours of our arrival, the power went off and stayed off for 22 hours. No TV, no coffee, no hot water, no A/C. Residents told us that rolling power outages are not unusual. The entire Lahaina area and north were out.The kitchen and bathrooms are updated, but the rest of the unit is original. Air conditioners are old and noisy, with visible ductwork on the walls. It appeared that the one in the primary bedroom had a leak that worked its way into the wall. The windows are original and screen doors don't fit well, so we used a rolled-up towel under the front door to keep critters out.The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped, with dishes for at least 3 people, some spices and oil. Detergent was supplied for laundry, dishes and dishwasher. We were responsible for washing dishes, sheets and towels before leaving, which was ok.Because of the noisy air conditioner, we turned off the one in our bedroom at night and turned on the one in the other bedroom.Beware getting too friendly with the next door neighbor. She was nice at first but talkative, and she became very aggressive about her politics. In the end we avoided each other.Maui itself is difficult to get around, with a mostly 2-lane road around the perimeter (but not completely around!) and traffic can be very slow some times of the day. Getting to other areas of the island requires driving back to the airport and looping around from there. "

"This is a beautiful property. The view was amazing. This is ideal for 6 people and the full kitchen was wonderful with a huge refrigerator and modern appliances. Communication was excellent with the property manager. We would recommend. "

"If I were to rate this place on location and view, it would be a 10! However, we had enough issues with the place that I just can't. The biggest one was finding out that the shower in our bedroom had no hot water. We called right away; we were asked if we let the water run for a few minutes......and of course that's the obvious thing to do. So they said they would send someone. But about 3 minutes after I called, they called me back and informed me that they know it has issues and to let it run for 20 minutes!! Are you kidding me? So I did.........for 25 min and no hot water. So we were forced to use a shower in other guests' bathrooms, inconveniencing them, for the entire 13 days! Maintainance did show, and said the part had to be ordered and could come in a week or so.........never heard back from anyone the rest of the time we were there. Only 2 of the 4 TV's worked in the place. Maintanance said they would come back and fix and they didn't. Some furniture was broken on the lanai and unusable. I should also note that I was aware how close this was to the fire area of Lahina, but the description of the place was outdated; it said it had a clubhouse and of course, it had burned to the ground. Overall the place worked for us but for what we were paying, I was pretty disappointed, mostly in lack of response to our issues."

"Beautiful quiet setting and still close to whale watches, shopping, and restaurants. Place was clean and stocked well. Watched whales everyday from the lanai!"

"Exactly as advertised, we recently stayed at 87-2 for a family vacation (4 adults, 2 kids) and it was wonderful. The complex is quiet, well maintained and beautiful. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. The kids had fun at the little beach and the Dolphin pool. The condo had everything we needed and was a comfortable space. The garden off the lanai was lovely and offered a good deal of privacy as well. "

"We all had a good time. Place is very nice but has a few things that need repaired on the property. Had couple issues with power at the house but they fixed on a timely matter. Any renters coming to this area of the island make sure you know that if it gets too windy, they will shut power off. During this stay it was out close to 24 hours. Other things you need to watch for is tax increase. We bought and paid in full before end of the 2025 year and then they charge me the new tax rate and yet still owe them more money. They claim it is when you stay and not when you pay. All other place you pay tax when you buy items. Watch for parking anyplace will cost more than 20-30 a day. Overall, this is a nice place just Maui County is trying to chase people away. We will be going to a different Island from now on. Host gave us a late check out, that was very nice of them. I do know some of this is beyond control of host. Had a great stay overall just people need to know what they are getting into. "
