"Gorgeous historical property, which makes up for the Alamo Plaza pits and falls directly outside in every direction, due to construction. My room was lovely and not haunted during the stay. Once outside the building the ghosts have been replaced by unhoused humans and hawkers of riverboat rides. Brace yourself to be haunted by the unending phrases all trying to decant your wallet of your carefully procured small bills for tips to all your servers and valet drivers."

I loved staying at a historic hotel rather than your run of the mill chain hotel that you can find anywhere. The rooms were comfortable, and everything we wanted was within walking distance. "The days that we stayed was worth the long bus ride. The hotel staff was very welcoming. We got a chance to explore the area a little. So many things to do, very much loved the scenery and the food was amazing. During our stay we ventured to the convention center for a local convention it was awesome and so much fun. "The only bad thing i can say is my truck was damaged by the valet parking company working inside the hotel. They will pay for repairs they say, but i will have to do without my truck. We are traveling on vacation. Hotel was beautiful. "
