"For a short overnight stay, Cedar Cove was good. The owner was nice and friendly. The room was surprisingly clean (bathroom, floors, surfaces, etc). The linens were of very modest quality but all very clean. The room didn't have any weird or musty smells. It would be more comfortable if the TP didn't feel rough like writing paper. Also, it's not far from a railroad track and right on the road. If you need silence to sleep, bring earplugs. "

"The room was lovely. However, the bed is on a what appears to be a platform. It is not the most comfortable bed. I have slept in in a hotel of this caliber. There is no shelving in the bathroom. There is little or no space for toothbrushes bathroom essentials. The towels were luxurious and thick. There needs to be better clarity in tidying the room upon leaving for the day. Be sure to tell the staff you want your room serviced. The staff overall were attentive and helpful, however, after being gone eight hours, we returned to a room that had not been made up or serviced. We were told we would’ve received a text message which we never did. We did however, receive compensation for that mistake and was grateful because we had dinner in the restaurant, which was tasty. We found Ainsley, Jaden, and Taylor to be helpful in the challenges that we faced. If you are expecting a view of Lake Erie, you will be sadly disappointed. Every room overlooks the parking lot and the view is literally at the window as far to the left as you can possibly see a sliver of the lake. This property has the potential of being five stars with a little coaching from the management and understanding the “ efforts of excellence, exceeds expectations.”! "

"I've stayed at this hotel many times throughout the past 10 years and this last visit was horrible. The hotel had gone downhill so much. Not clean at all, my room had urine on the seat, hair in shower. I had to clean and disinfect the room myself. The pool was disgusting, the wall paint was chipping off, tiles broken. The one night I went to take my granddaughter in the pool and there was a group in there partying and had tons of beer bottles lined up, so of course we didn't go, she was upset. No rules enforced."
