"Good value for money and friendly host. I would give it 3.5 stars. The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."

"Rented this spot in Ticino and it worked out perfectly. Walking distance to a bakery/coffee shop. Had a great meal at Ristorante Sport. Migros grocery store is right down the street. Small village of 1500 people. Close drive to Lugano and only an hour drive to Malpensa airport. The views of the lake are fantastic."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Gioiosa over the New Year. The house is spacious and modern with every comfort you can think of - the owners have thought of everything. Excellent open plan living and separate area for bedrooms. The villa is perfect for families with plenty of activities on site and in the surrounding area.
