Overall, this hotel was "ok." The location was convenient, and parking was convenient to the hotel. The linens and beds were very clean. However, the lobby area was poorly organized and maintained, with the associates appearing as though they were standing at temporary podiums. I wasn't sure if this was a hotel check-in or a hostess waiting to seat us ... esp. after they handed us a plain white envelope with copied instructions for the garage (additional fee). The carpeting throughout was warn, stained, and coming off the ground, with particular damage near elevator doors. An additional charge of $20 for breakfast is out of step with the hotel industry. Overall, I would say the hotel has potential, but we almost left to stay at one of its many competitors.

I loved the room the most. the decor is not basic nor is it overwhelming. the bathtub was amazing. bed was clean and comfortable. pillows were too flat for me but to each his own.

I liked the comfort of the king size bed. Didn’t like the breakfast options for vegetarians, you had to call front desk to bring up fresh towels etc, Not a princess in anyway but when Im on holidays I prefer not to have to tidy up my room. Carpet was very dirty. Had to call a few times for clean towels.

Stayed in large, clean room that looked like it had recently been renovated - in a traditional/art deco style. The hotel overall felt a little soul-less. It has a large lobby but no one used it. Popped to the roof terrace and it was busy with great views at sunset. Reception staff were ok. Parking is just over the road but be warned that the lifts have a tendency to fail - it looked both on arrival and departure we were going to have to lug our cases up/down 4/5 flights - so maybe check in first before parking.

This property is located downtown memphis. This part of town has trolly cars starting the one way street surrounding the hotel. This made initial parking to check in difficult. We found a parking garage a few blocks away and drug our luggage along the city street and past dark alley ways. We didn’t feel unsafe but kept our radars on. The hotel was nice and the beds were like sleeping on clouds. We did not partake in their $15 very limited breakfast bar.

I felt unsafe staying there with my three kids. There were homeless men outside the hotel and sketchy characters walking around. The photos do not match the hotel.

Very close to "touristy" Beale Street; which was what we were looking for on this trip. Lovely rooftop with exceptional views, wish it was open for early morning tea and coffee.

Unfriendly staff! Not once was I greeted in a friendly manner, employees were always visibly on their phones or complaining about their lives. I was charged an extra $75 per day for incidentals as I was checking in. For someone who had budgeted their stay for 5 days, that was quite the hit right off the bat. I guess being able to eat while staying there is secondary. I will not be back and most definitely won’t refer anyone to stay at the Hu.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hu Hotel. We wanted to be close enough to walk to Beale St and far enough away. It was absolutely the perfect location. Very quiet , rooms were clean and staff was very nice and helpful! The only issue we had was ice. You had to ask for ice on the first floor. Not a huge complaint. Just a little inconvenience. But would definitely recommend and stay here again.

i love the views from this hotel. i stayed on the 14th floor in the king suite corner room that gave an almost panoramic view looking over the bridge and river. the room was spacious and the shower bath combo was nice. the bed wasn’t the most comfortable i’ve slept on in a hotel. it’s easy to get around locally as everything is just about in walking distance or a trolley ride away.

Everything was very good. The only thing was that when we tried to check in 15 mins earlier, they were not able to accommodate us. And the room doesn’t have a coffee maker so every morning and evening I had to go down to the lobby to get hot water for my tea.

I loved the room. For a room that size, it had a huge, comfortable King Size Bed. The bathroom was my favorite thing,very spacious. Shower was excellent too. Staff was nice and courteous. Rooftop bar has a great view of the Mississippi River.

It’s just an okay hotel. I’m travelling with my pets and the pet fee is ridiculous. No parking on lot, no valet but there’s a lot right across the street.

Overall, I found this property very unique in a good way. I loved my room. It was very spacious. The only thing is the sofas needed to be tidied a little bit. It’s a great place to stay if you are looking for a spacious room with peace and quiet, this is the place.
